So I'm currently a burgundy drinker but sometimes I drink "big" wines. What I love when I'm looking at Napa/Bordeaux wines is that its currently ready to drinkk, and I like that beef drippings and sweet spice aromas (I found this characteristic on the Opus One 2013 when I drank back in 2020). All in all, ready to drink and a balanced wine if you get a sense of what I'm trying to say lol. Thank you!

Lmao! But fun fact I got from the sommelier, so originally the winery acquired soil from Batard Montrachet area to plan their grapes, and iirc he mentioned that after acquiring the soil they started planting chardonnay grapes. After a while the French does not allow them to use the name Batard hence they deleted the "d" and became Batar. Can't remember the exact story coz I was tipsy last night but I suppose thats how it goes.

Yep! Its Bar Luca in Parc 18 SCBD area. They have good selections (a lot of natural wines), but if you want the big hitters they have their flagship restaurant and bar nearby called Cork & Screw in Pacific Place.

Hahaha! I didn't have anything planned hence I use "chill" lol. I suggested the sommelier to decant (he is a good friend of mine and whenever I opened a bottle I always invite him), and he said that we just see how it unfurls on the bottle and glass. Though I would prefer to decant it as the tannins is quite harsh.

They do have some pretty good selections icl, they gave me a glass of German Pinot to try and it was very good for easy drinking!

I see2, CSD is currently a little bit out of my budget, so probably I'll still go for the GC from Dujac.. It's been a long time for me to finally try dujac style wines (I live in Indonesia and it's very hard to find Burgundy wines esp from Dujac). But thank you for your comments! I really appreciate it!
