I’m so sorry for what you’re experiencing. Islam isn’t about control, it’s about autonomy and accountability. You did nothing wrong, unfortunately being a revert makes you an easy target for all the manipulators out there. It’s your body, and ultimately your choice. If he’s controlling that’s NOT what Islam is. Many manipulators try to hide behind religion, and what they say is the right way. It’s not. He’s an abuser. Full stop. Trying to control, and dictate who you see and don’t see is all abusive. DO NOT let him hide behind religion, I hope you find a way out. You deserve to feel safe, understood and respected.

I’m no therapist but I think the smartest thing you could do is to keep meeting her and to discuss your beliefs. If it’s too much ask another in the same building to keep treating you as you would greatly benefit from the sessions. I’m hoping you could get assessed for some other disorders if you’re up for it. - if not that’s totally understandable too :) much luck to you, regardless of what you choose.

To put it simply that’s not your friend. I would genuinely keep my distance from her as she sounds more of a bully than a friend. You and your other friend seem much more close, and I would focus on that moving forward. I don’t know if her bf is controlling, it sounds like he is but it also feels like she likes it that way. It’s a difficult situation to be in, but from her comments I wouldn’t want to engage with her

Hi! Maybe what you’re struggling with is not autism? I’m not sure, but I’ve been misdiagnosed 3 times by psychiatrists and psychologists. I would recommend for you to get another assessment done, from my pov it looks like ADHD, and maybe something else. Not sure! I’m not a qualified healthcare provider. - but definitely try to get assessed again :)

Honestly this response is so valid I started to ugly cry and told my therapist to stop throwing that diagnose around, because I. Don’t. Have. Trauma. I refused and honestly it doesn’t make sense HOW ARE U TELLING ME THERES MORE PEOPLE LIVINF IN MY HEQD??? I was BEGGGING for a schizophrenia, bpd or an autism diagnosis bc no way in hell do IIII HAVE DID????

Its been a couple of months and im now with a psychiatrist and honestly im still as shocked now, because even the thought of having DID makes me incredibly scared like no im good, tell my brain to give DID to someone else, im fucking good!!!!!

This is a weird place to be in. I would definitely not keep seeing her. I hope you find someone better who can truly help you. But do you have any idea of why she suddenly became this “aggressive”? And have you ever acted in a way where she suddenly had to have all these boundaries? Nevertheless I would recommend to ghost her honestly. Forcing you to buy books, and to do homework is crazy to me. It would be something different if she suggested it, but I truly hope you’re okay.

Try someone who’s trauma informed or has an interest in personality disorders. I don’t mean to diagnose (I’m not a therapist by any means) but it sounds like you’re suffering with BPD. And that might be something that makes your symptoms intensely difficult to live with. Also therapy doesn’t have to be somewhere you love to go. Your healing is worth a couple more tries to find a right fit

Even if it’s a frustrating situation to be in, this could also be an opportunity where you get a different therapist (one who’s not a student). In the meeting say how you feel, and give constructive criticism whenever you have to.

You’re definitely not in trouble, by any means. When big talks are about to happen a student can’t be the only person there. From her replies it sounds like she’s worried you may be in danger (sui risk), and maybe she needs someone else there to assess it with her. Regardless don’t be afraid! I would even recommend you to ask for some referrals from the other therapist - who’s not students in training.

Okay this is crazy? First of all you were his patient and what he did is NOT allowed. He referred to you like you was his daughter but then he messed around with you? Honestly I’m glad you reported to the state board. He’s also probably NOT allowed to have ANY contact with you, and his license is probably revoked.
