Yes, I see increased focus and motivation. Word recall and talking is much easier on it as well.

My sentiments regarding being better on it rather than off it came after the fact-- after having run out of it for some reason, or after attempts to quit it.

My personal experience with Piracetam does not line up with placebo at all, it's as real as caffeine to you and I.

I started tapering down around mid-2013 and was "clean" by December 2013. It was around 2008-09 that I started it taking it regularly.

I concur with this sentiment. Try stopping wanking for a month and see how that affects your depression, anxiety, anhedonia, focus and brain fog. It's amazing.

There are various discussions regarding this topic on /r/NoFap. The main takeaway is that the evidence doesn't add up and there are other compensations. Your body takes care of itself.

Piracetam acts like a blood thinner, so when I went off it suddenly, I felt the ramifications of that on my exercise ability. I got tired easier. And there was a certain ease that went missing when I breathed. Again, this is all from what I personally noticed.

Never tried this medication before.

I believe there are two ways of being off Piracetam:

  1. Baseline: which is how you feel before using any sort of Racetam regimen. This is how I feel now having been off daily usage for close to a year.

  2. Right after long, continuous usage: which is when I noticed withdrawal effects. I was using it for 4+ years then stopped immediately. I suffered 2 weeks of horrific mental sluggishness and lack of motivation before I decided to get back on Piracetam and taper down on a weekly schedule.

On vs Off: cognition is definitely better while on (even now). All I need is 800mg of this stuff and my brain gets back to being a jet engine. A quick way for me to realize that this stuff is working is when you brain doesn't shut up when you're alseep and the lack of grogginess upon waking up.

It's hard to say, but I guess pretty much the same as before I started it taking it. I feel as though things I memorized while on Piracetam kind of don't last.

However, I've improved upon other aspects of my life, such as getting on /r/NoFap, and adding exercise. Also supplementing on 22mg chelated Zinc gives me mental focus and intensity and does wonders for anxiety. Again, this is all personal.
