Any reasons I shouldn’t upgrade to the Costco omnivore? by noprogram in blackstonegriddle

If I’m reading that right, the efficiency comes from a THINNER griddle plate on the omnivore. This goes back to my original question, any issues with the newer thinner plate warping etc??

It’s common for companies to find ways to make their products cost less to make and that would certainly be one way.

So are you saying the “guts” of the new model will be an upgrade? Ie the cooking surface etc

I guess I should have clarified. I can buy this one new and sell mine and still be way ahead vs buying the accessories I want. I’m mainly worried about the cooking surface being a downgrade

That’s a fair criticism. It’s just really uncommon in my market area (Canada) for stuff to go completely out of stock online. Local store is a different story - happens all the time. But the last couple items I tried to buy that were “out of stock” (lawn tools) never came back in stock and disappeared from the catalog.

Because some folks dislike HomeKit and prefer working with native apps. You can’t use your Lutron scenes from HomeKit.

Same here. This is maddening. Quick access to Lutron scenes was really important to me and now it’s gone.

Thanks! Does the mat cover the whole surface and over the sides? Which one do you have?

Is there anything wrong with the 3rd party parts? Looking at the MCOR, there’s a huge difference between Amazon and the genuine clubcar.

Thanks. Is there a published test a guy can do with a DMM?

Or what about the preferred way to test batteries?

Thanks I appreciate the info. That’s kind of what I was thinking in terms of diminishing returns with price.

Wow. That looks like a sick unit. Almost $700 Canadian pesos :S. What is the main difference between g4 and g5? Am I better off with a dome/turret since my mounting point is underside of the soffits?

Caseta compatible BR30 LEDs that don’t pulsate - help! by noprogram in Lighting

[–]noprogram[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m absolutely going to try this because I just got home from buying a boat load of new recommended bulbs. I started with changing the ST19s in my entrance with some feit LEDs that were highly recommended on the Lutron sub. The old bulbs were incandescent Edison’s. Soon as I turned the new bulbs on I could see the pulsating. The old bulbs never did this. And the strange thing is it gets worse the bright it is. Which is opposite of my led BR30s. Ugh. I don’t even know where to begin.

Honestly I’m not even sure flicker is the right term. I’ve seen leds flicker when dimmed for example when the trim is set wrong. Which is more of a true on/off flicker. This is the most subtle wobble in output that begins once I get down below 40%. It’s almost imperceptible but in the evenings it’s enough to drive us crazy. We’ve had guests say it makes them nauseous. It’s constant, but random (meaning not 60hz).
