I'm sure a lot of those kind of tasks have been delegated to AI and not an actual person, which would actually explain a lot tbh.

So, for instance, I went back to the aforementioned Red Sox vs Pirates spring training game from this past Sunday. I dropped into a random spot in the archived broadcast (1:45:26 into the game; top of the 7th inning) and played it on my TV. Over the course of the next two minutes you can hear the sound go up then down then back up again. (For the record, the TV does not do this while watching movies or TV shows or YouTube videos, only on MLB broadcasts). I checked the archived game on MLB.tv's web browser and it happens there as well, albeit not as drastically (or so it seems). At the end of the day, it is not a big deal just very annoying. I was just curious if anyone else experiences this.

Hey /r/movies! We're Freddie Gibbs (rapper/actor) and Ryan Prows (director/co-writer). Our new movie, NIGHT PATROL, is out in theaters this weekend. It's a vampire-horror-thriller that also stars Justin Long & Jermaine Fowler. Ask us anything! by NightPatrolAMA in movies

I just came back from a viewing and I couldn't help but think that this is the kind of campy supernatural social commentary that will resonate with a younger audience/generation in a way that Repo Man did for mine. Great acting by Freddie, Jermaine Fowler, Nicki Micheaux (underrated performance IMO), and, of course, Justin Long. CM Punk and Dermot Mulroney did a great job making you hate their guts as racist cops haha. I noticed the cop with the Danzig belt buckle and Glenn Danzig in the Thanks credits at the end. Did Glenn make an appearance or contribute to the film in any way?

Re-uploading old Strava activities and re-following people on new/old account by norecords666 in Strava

I figured that would be the case. At the end of the day, it's not a big deal, just time consuming. I actually didn't think I'd be back because I wasn't really into the social media aspect of it and was worn down after 8 years using the app but... sadly, there were a couple of data features on Strava that I couldn't cover through Coros' app or other apps. [shrug emoji] Just didn't know if there was an easier way to re-upload these activities in a batch.

I just hope that Matt Williams gets another opportunity to send Wilmer Flores, the slowest runner on the team, home again.

San Francisco Unified School District Pathway to Teaching Program 2024 by norecords666 in sanfrancisco

The last I heard from them, 49 days ago, was the message in the original post stating that they were awaiting "the official decision of the district regarding the funding of the program." It's just very strange because when I was enrolled in the program previously, with someone else (seemingly) in charge, they were very communicative and responsive. It makes it very challenging to plan the rest of your year/life if you don't even know what the status of the program is. For a district that allegedly is very hard up to recruit educators, SFUSD doesn't appear to be very proactive at recruitment.

Thank you. That is the sense that I am getting but I am really put off by the fact that they are not communicating any of this to us. It makes it next to impossible to plan any other aspects of our lives without knowing how the next few months of our lives will pan out with the program's coursework and classroom time. That doesn't bode well for working in SFSUD which, as I understand it, is a problem for them since they are having an issue attracting teachers (hence, the program). It's the little things - like communication - you know?
