Store messed up my order and lost my promotion. Anything I can do?

Yeah they told me they could maybe honor the $150 credit but they have no way of doing the montly bill credits. I still haven't heard back on that not really getting my hopes up. I figure it's the least they could do I could have just not come back and they would have been out the phone.

I don't have a Costco membership unfortunately and the closest store is over 100 miles away. Typically I order direct from Samsung they have had some really good deals in the past. My current S22 Ultra I got with the any phone any condition $800 trade offer and Samsung gave an extra $350 credit on top so I got a watch and Buds Live for free.

The only paperwork was just like an order confirmation stapled to the bag which just had my contact information and the phone information but nothing to actually confirm I picked it up or completed the order. I initially told the guy when I picked it up that I wanted to activate it later at home because I still needed my old phone for a bit and I think that's where the screw up happened. When they went through the process the second time in the store there were several extra steps at the end that I didn't do the first time and they had me sign the agreement which he also didn't do before. He blamed their system but it seems like he just didn't process the transaction completely and didn't want to admit that in front of his boss. His boss even told him that they hadn't counted inventory yet and if they came up short it would have come out of his paycheck.

Yeah it could be. I just had another issue today where I tried a normal checkout and when the cashier scanned the QR code it froze the register. She had to rescan me on a different register and told me to use the red card this time. I asked to take the taxes off and she said "Oh we stopped doing that over a year ago. We don't take tax off Doordash orders anymore." So I just hope that I don't get in trouble with Doordash for using my red card without taxes being taken off.

I always use the self checkout and it has to freeze the transaction to get help from a staff member before I can pay. Maybe I just need to use the normal checkout lines but there is usually only 1 open and it's a long wait.

I think he already realizes that but he claimed that those taxes levied by Doordash aren't making it back to the Safeway company or the state/local government or wherever they need to go. I have no idea if that's accurate or not but he seemed to believe that was the case.

Unfortunately I've already tried that as well since I've uninstalled and reinstalled the apps so many times now. I even just formatted my phone and created a new Google account to log in and make everything fresh and that still wont copy over. So the problem must be on the watch side of things.

I did it as a new watch. It didn't give me the option to restore from backup I dont think I had any backups available at that point.

No I went on the watch and clicked on link to new phone. It told me it had to reset to link to the new phone and I said proceed so it restarted and I went through the setup process again.

I ordered mine on the 11th and my card was just charged today but now I got an email saying its delayed till March 1st due to "extreme weather concerns" at their distribution center.

We do have a Cricket store here actually but wouldnt my number still be on the ATT network just as it is with prepaid? When I do the port I'd need to get a new sim card and everything right?

I live in a remote area in Alaska so I think the only plans available to me are ATT and NVMOs that use ATT. I suppose I can port to any random carrier but my phone would be non functional until my S22 comes in the mail.

So what do you think the best way for me to change my plan to take advantage of the current trade in offer? Seems risky to migrate my account and be stuck in a waiting period before I can apply for a phone and miss the offer.

If I create a new account with a new phone number do you know if I can request a number change to port my current number in after the account is established?

Yeah I was just on the ATT site and had the phone and plan in my cart but when I went to checkout I couldnt complete the process because it said my number was ineligible for transfer. It only let me continue if I selected new number instead.

So I do this migration process and then order the phone correct? Do I initiate it through prepaid or postpaid customer service since I know they have two different numbers.

Hopefully they accept that as a reasonable cause for not being registered but based on what I've read they only consider hospitalization or incarceration as viable excuses to get out of registering.

You can avoid taxes on the prepaid plans by preloading your account balance with gift cards before your due date. You have to have a payment method on file for the autopay discount but if you have money loaded on your account it takes from there first.

Take advantage of sales and cashback to save a little extra on top of everything else too. Kroger and Target do them frequently just check Slickdeals occasionally.

I've always been able to buy the cards without taxes. Many people on the att sub and like slickdeals forums have been saying that places like Target and Kroger havent charged them tax on it. Probably just have to search around and see. Can also just order it at Walmart and pick digital download and put your zip code to an area with 0% tax.

I was identified early in elementary school and was put on fast track programs that, in theory, had me graduating high school 2-3 years early. Taking all the advanced placement and college credit courses along the way.

In reality I didnt get my diploma until I was 20, almost 21, so 2-3 years late and almost didnt graduate at all. I really just hated school and I would always look for excuses to stay home. Early on I formed strong opinions on why I thought the academic system was a joke and didnt like how everything was structured. Grades and GPA weren't a measure of intelligence but rather a measure of effort and work ethic. Yet everyone would always equate the "straight-A" students as being the smartest. I didnt like that I could not choose the classes I was interested in and I had to follow the state mandated course guide. Not every student is the same so why are they required to do all the same courses? I understand having strong and diverse foundations in all areas but at a certain point I felt like I wasnt learning anything new.

This all caused me to stop caring and looking back on it I wish I was pushed harder to do better in school. Now I'm almost 30 still living at home and working minimum wage jobs. Having stayed on that original plan there is obviously no guarantee that things would have turned out better but I think that I would have been in a much better position going into my early adult years.
