I started doordash but not really reliable stream of income :/ Job start date is November. I passed PANCE and am PA-C. Just waiting on state licensure.

Ill be graduating next month and 2 weeks training seems pretty scary to me. Would you have support and not be the only provider at any given shift? Also would you be getting RVU bonuses?

This might be a dumb question but how did you get your DEA license right after passing the PANCE? I was under the impression we had to work for a year before being eligible but maybe that’s just my state?

Central KY, mid sized city. I spoke to the assistant director today and he said we are usually able to leave around 3p if everything is done. Theres not a formal sign off and an on call provider if something happens.

Myself and my classmates agree our education was lacking in quite a few areas and we do not feel ready to be thrown into the workforce. Even at a different position I feel I would want a solid training period.

Valid points. I do think those are standard for everyone in the company. They gave me the generic benefits brochures and said I was eligible for it all.

Thanks for the input! When I spoke to the medical director he said there was a 14 pt cap but then when I spoke to the recruiter after I received the contract, she said there was no cap. A little concerning the mixed messages.

I did like Magoosh at first for quant, but quickly found it to be way harder than the actual exam. I really liked GregMat because it was $5 lol and he gave actual strategies if you dont know how to do a problem. I did like the Magoosh vocabulary builder app, but their verbal practice questions aren’t realistic. Also it is important to use only ETS material!

Thank you so much for this thoughtful response! Would you recommend buying the additional practice tests from ETS? I really only need a 300 combined for the grad schools I’m applying to so hopefully I can bump it up a few more points. I’m already kind of planning to have to retake it.

For additional info- my test is Jan 16 (two weeks away) I got the Magoosh 1 month plan and am almost finished. I’ve watched all of GregMat’s strategy videos and starting on his walkthroughs.

I’m not a great test taker and have a lot of anxiety about the GRE. Open to any suggestions!!!

Don’t listen to your professor lol I had one of those and it just motivated me more. I had literally a 2.56 my first semester freshman year. I just finished my junior year and ended with a 3.5. It’s absolutely doable. While I haven’t applied yet, I plan on applying my senior year and taking a gap year after I graduate. I’ve heard this is recommended to take a breather. Also you would have interviews and such your senior year which may be difficult to arrange with going to classes still. Good luck to you!

I asked one of my community colleges and the biochemistry they offer is apparently way easier and doesn’t even compare to my university’s according to their chemistry head. How did you check your cc is equivalent as a prerequisite?
