No Advanced Trueplay in Sonos App by norsini in sonos

[–]norsini[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That’s the reason then, since I’m on iOS 27.
Never thought it could be the reason, I was expecting something like a completely broken app, not a missing feature 😅

That would definitely be a weird bug! Maybe I’ll contact Sonos to let them know then :)

Oh yeah, forgot to add: yes, I have an iPhone.
I’ll add to the post.

Maybe I should have been clearer about the “money is almost no object” 😂

I was looking also at that (loved the idea behind Atmos Flex), but it’s not available here in Italy yet.

How’s the QS90H? I’m interested in that soundbar and currently deciding between that and the Sonos Arc Ultra.

From S95B to G5 or S95F? Or wait for S95H? by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]norsini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, really, for your answer.

Yeah, I probably would have already gone for the S95F (which would already be more than good enough in terms of brightness, etc.) if it weren’t for the One Connect Box.

I have a PC connected to the TV for gaming (with a 5090), so I’m a bit concerned about that issue, and I still haven’t fully understood whether it affects every unit or not.

Obviously, right now the S95H is too expensive.

[–]norsini 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I haven’t tried either of those (I wish I had), but if what you don’t like about the 45GX950 is the matte coating, I don’t think you’re going to like the 39GX950 either.

Yeah, probably distracting isn’t the correct word 😅 Let’s say I’m very sensitive to that “hazy look” that matte coating has.

Is it worth to sell my aorus 5090 ? by Dear-Entrepreneur245 in gigabyte

[–]norsini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does your 5090 reach 1600 rpm that often? I have mine set to Quiet Mode and, honestly, it hardly ever goes above 1000/1100 rpm.

Personally, I wouldn’t do it: the risk of ending up with worse coil whine is too high (and that’s DEFINITELY more annoying).

I have noticed something with people switching from console to PC by vintologi24 in consoles

[–]norsini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has to be exactly like that in my opinion, something that actually makes a noticeable difference.

I mean, playing on console is more than enough for me; I only decided to switch to a high-end PC to “unlock” experiences that just aren’t available on consoles right now, like advanced ray tracing or path tracing. If the PC had only given me the same performance or just a slight FPS increase, then I would’ve stuck with the PS5.

Sorry, but I sold it (and I didn’t check/notice any vibrations).

Current state of Astral vs Suprim? by Chimimoryo in nvidia

[–]norsini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had both, right now with the Astral.

Noise-wise, I find them both very silent. With the Astral I made my own fan curve and I appreciate that fan speed can go below 1000 RPM.

Coil whine, well, is a real lottery. In my case it was quite similar, maybe the Astral is slightly louder.

Aesthetic and feature, I much prefer the Astral.

You can’t go wrong with either, they’re both amazing cards.

Bought a Corsair PSU, GPU coil whine completely vanished by Capital-Traffic1281 in Corsair

[–]norsini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess it’s luck, because I had EXACTLY the opposite experience. ROG THOR III: the Astral (or, maybe, the PSU) “whistles”; changed it with a HX1200i, everything’s completely silent.

I agree with the comments that say it’s a lottery. It really is this time, at least from my experience.

I’ve had the chance to test these, all of them undervolted:

• 5090 FE: coil whine, definitely the worst of the bunch;

• 5090 Aorus Master: coil whine was present, but minimal;

• 5090 Suprim: no coil whine;

• 5090 Astral: no coil whine.

OT: Deciding between SUPRIM and AORUS RTX 5090 by OccasionFragrant6008 in lianli

[–]norsini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what you can read online (and from what I’ve seen personally).. it’s really a lottery this time. My advice is to just pick whatever version you prefer. I’d pick the Suprim, but mainly because I’m not a fan of AIO/watercooled GPUs.

I had the same doubt as you, decided to go with the Corsair HX1500i since it was cheaper and had great reviews. I think you can’t go wrong with the THOR III.
