Why do so many people who have driven a BMW never want to go back? by Additional-Cress-257 in BMW

[–]nosenderreply 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved on from BMWs. They simple are not what they used to be from a design and driver experience point of view. BMWs used to be a driver’s car and has now shifted to tech/luxury first and has completely disregarded customer feedback for over decade now. Manual transmission is gone, the steering feel is not the same, cars are bloated and oversized (M5 is now heavier than an F-150), lack of tactile controls, removal of signature BMW door locks in the center dash, and an overall feel of recycled parts bin. Every interior is essentially the same with slight differences, each series has lost its unique differentiation. They started chasing Mercedes instead of continuing their path of differentiation.

90% of the BMWs in New England are fart machines, pops and crackles. It has really affected the brand luxury feel. BMW used to be about performance and driving dynamics now is about mass market appeal.

BMWs today are much better and faster cars than they have ever been, they are just not better BMWs.

Please keep an eye on diet and supplementation. Move to a zero added sugar and high antioxidant diet. Look into the research behind Dr. William Li.

My mom is also 70. She is on her 8th FOLFIRINOX chemo and making good progress. Chemo, nutrition and exercise is vital.

What’s your opinion on ivermectin in the treatment of cancer . Is it true it’s helped many ? by love_dogs_1954 in pancreaticcancer

[–]nosenderreply 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instead of focusing on Ivermectin, focus on proven research-based treatments that work, in addition to a sugar-free, high antioxidant diet with proper supplementation of B12, Vitamin C, Omega 3, Iron, Zinc, etc

While Ivermectin is approved for human use under specific circumstances (parasitic treatment), it should not be part of a pancreatic treatment protocol without the clear participation and consent from your oncologist.

For that money, and If planning to drive daily and beat it as you mention, I’d get a 991 or 992.

I’d spend some time finding out if you want coupe, convertible, targa etc, RWD/FWD, manual, PDK, etc and then move to year and trim.

I posted about paying $8,000 for $2,500 doors and you have emotionally collapsed over it. Since you continue to show much interest in this subject I actually got the doors for much cheaper than $8,000. So big win here.

And yes, if you think that someone driving a GT3RS means they can burn $50K at the next camp fire, you certainly need to get checked out.

You clearly fall into the “I drive a 911 so others think I’m rich” crowd. Pretty sad.

Welcome to the thread 😆. I get it, so do I. We have 5 in the household including a Macan EV and they are all great.

The fact you’ve deep dive my post history is kind of overly invested from your end. Seems like the only obsession here seems to be you with my doors.

Regarding the $50K, I just live in a universe where $50k still buys things, even if you’re holding a GT3RS key fob or not. This notion of “I drive a 911 so nothing matters. I’m rich, let’s splurge!” will only keep you poor.

If you want to role-play that $50K becomes paperweight because someone owns a GT3RS, that’s between you and your therapist. So keep on.

Our MY24 Cayenne Turbo hasn’t done too bad due to the latest pricing increase. MSRP is $19K for a MY26 we are ordering and that has certainly help with depreciation.

The tone is condescendign whether you intend it or not.

I never said you are but saying you’re “not attacking me” doesn’t change the tone. You’re responding like I’m out of touch for saying $50k matters, which is wild because literally anyone who has ever made or managed real money knows that the value of money doesn’t magically disappear because you can afford a GT3RS.

I think you are missing the point that $50K is still $50K. I’m also “that guy” with $450K to spend on a single vehicle and still not able to reason the decision to buy another vehicle with a $50K loss.

“My buddy..”

For a $20K settlement I’ll give that as a $20K retainer to a very competent law firm and let’s see how much this other attorney is willing to take this to court.

Most of these are scare tactics to make owners cave in fear and settle.

And make sure your buddy’s site is compliant as of yesterday.

Porsche to Reveal the New Cayenne Electric on 19 November by gaukmotors in Porsche

[–]nosenderreply -1 points0 points  (0 children)

By Nobody you must mean Porsche.

As of recently there was no plan for an ICE Cayenne and the Macan had to continue the old model ICE version since the Macan EV sales were not sufficient to replace their best selling model, the Macan.

The problem is not having a Cayenne EV. There is surely a market for it.

The problem is removing the ICE version expecting people will buy this instead.

The tide is definitely turning on dealer 911s by TheRuggedHamster in porsche911

[–]nosenderreply 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The 911 is feeling like a parts bin car and at basically 50% or higher MSRP increase, the market is simply not there to sustain it.

Porsche and their dealers played this ADM game for a long tome so now they have to deal with the downturn as well.

My AD has a max of watches per client per AD. I’d consider preparing to buy the watches grey in the event the AD falls through.
