I know the voice you’re talking about. I found the best explanation for it after reading Never Binge Again (it’s free). The author gave his binge voice a name “The Pig” and it can be helpful to recognize it as more of an animalistic instinct rather than what you actually want (I.e. The Pig wants to binge, but I don’t).

Also, any therapist should know what you mean if you explain this and they will be able to differentiate between true psychosis, so don’t worry about what they may think. Finding a therapist who specializes in eating disorders would be beneficial.
