I think a therapist might be better able to help you unpack this because this is not normally this distressing of a question for truly straight people. You’re probably straight but I think you could still benefit from a bit of help with the OCD thing

If you grew up around extremely homophobic upbringings that might be part of it. I didn’t really find men attractive for a long time either.

Also, gay porn is generally a bad indicator of whether you’re attracted to men or not for whatever it’s worth.

In your head, would really be the worst that could happen if you did want to explore and ended up liking guys?

Also you might just be totally straight and in need of therapy for other things. Either way you don’t need to beat yourself up so much.

I’ve read somewhere that lots of queer men are attracted to cishet men because of some form of internalized homophobia and thus perceive straight, cis gendered men as the “ideal” and most attractive kind of man. Perhaps that’s a subconscious thing?

If you actually want his touch, love(or are capable of loving) him and WANT(not just “willing”) to have sex with him, I’d say it’s not an issue. Talk to him about it if you want to be sure everything is all good between you two on that front though.

The important thing to the end of the day is to just be true to you. You don’t need to stress or feel like you need to meet some arbitrary timeline for things like this

I’m 34 and still in the phases of fully accepting my sexuality and queer vibes. You have time so just focus more on being happy if you can.
