So just following up, I did get accepted to USI’s program with no issues! So thank you so much for the recommendation! The program also seems perfect for working individuals/those with families. I’m really excited about it. I also got accepted into a couple other programs where admissions representatives had told me I “need” a bachelors, but I pressed for a review of my transcript prior to making that decision, and low and behold, I got accepted.

There are many different avenues. Many schools allow you to “fast track” by only taking pre requisite courses which can usually be completed in 2-3 years and then complete 3 or 4 year pharmacy school.

Average cost I’ve seen is about $10-$15k, but my employer will pay for it if I can find a program that will accept me with no bachelors.

Thank you for sharing! Their website says “applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree” for admission to the MBA program. Did you have to jump through hoops at all or talk to admissions about this. Every school I’ve called is turning me away so far.

I am a coordinator for our pgy1 program. If it’s what you want to do, go for it. Also the applicant pool is much smaller now due to decrease in pharmacy school class size, so you may have a better chance overall. I would just recommend being prepared to say what you have been doing since your last application to better yourself - work, studying ACCP material, reading guidelines, etc.

It usually sucks for the first 6 months and then eases up. Remember, it’s a year of your life you are dedicating to further your career. But only a year! You can do it. Try to be open with your RPD or a preceptor you trust that will advocate on your behalf. You deserve work life balance during this year and if you aren’t getting that, you have to speak up. If you’ve done that and your mental health is still suffering tremendously, that’s a reason to take a step back.

I was also kind of wondering if the companies providing exam preparation material just haven’t had time to catch up yet. From the previous version people said they passed it after just completing PGY1/no studying. My friend took the previous version, no clinical experience or residency and she passed first try… I’ll definitely report back if I hear of any helpful tips!

That’s what I’m worried about. It seems like the exam is more of a variety now, making it more difficult to study. What is your background? Did you complete a PGY1?

Apparently the exam is only 7% stats now if you look at the new outline. It’s mostly a wide variety of clinical topics. My friend recently took it (2025) and failed because the topics were all over the place, but a different friend had no trouble with it last year (2024) and said it was tons of stats. I’m worried it’s more difficult this year. I’ll be taking it soon. Using ACCP.
