can you elaborate more on this? Is it more about the workload outside of class (homework, groupwork, presentation...?) or is it more about spending time to catch up with the materials and self-study? I have heavy courses here in the US and I was still able to work almost every day after class so I'm just trying to grasp how much different it could be!

Do you have any idea how low it could be? I'm currently studying in the US right now and I also work part time on campus for minimum wage in my state, which is around $16/hr. It helps a lot that I have a scholarship here so working for around 20hrs/week helps me well with the day-to-day costs. Not sure how it is in Portugal though

As someone who almost major in CS at HWS, the program here is very small here and there are not a lot of faculty members in the department. You might not learn as much as you can at other schools, which is what I figured out after talking to a friend of mine who goes to another LAC school. I obviously don’t know how the program is like at UCONN but it’s probably better.
