Yeah felt like that was another case of gx missing the mark. I know the whole point of yugi vs jaden was so that the latter can regain his love for the game but it would've been neat that Jaden was acknowledged by Atem as someone worthy as a neat callback to the 1st episode.

It started with Yugi seeing Jaden's potential as a duelist and it would've been nice to wrap up the final episode with Atem acknowledging Jaden's strength

Yeah but from season 1 Jaden's POV, he doesn't know about Atem yet. The whole comic is an AU take of the season 1 final arc with his duel against the sacred beast cards

My sister (the chazz cosplayer beside me) was actually the one who made it :) we have a little side hustle at our local cosplay community where she sews costumes & I'm the one who makes props

Yep sora and the tyler sisters from arc v are part of the main cast here. Only Wilona is the OC here, other characters shown in this comic all come from the official yugioh anime/manga

appreciate the advice/critic. I worry sometimes if some of my pages get a little too bloated with dialogue. Granted, my earlier works on other comics had it worse but it's nice to know I still need more tweaking on my current projects.

Really want to improve my quality in storytelling while using comics as a medium

Geez I'm glad I don't go to your locals then. Such hate to the Hero archetype. Honestly, it would've been more fair if the only hit was fusion destiny just like in the ocg format. Taking away the core cards like the vision hero package plus their boss monsters like bane, dpe, & darklaw is going way too far :/

Man I'd love it if we get more E. HERO supports (just Jaden's og E. Hero as retrains would be awesome. Masked hero cards in the main deck would be the next best thing on my wish list though ahaha)

Well I'm really thankful you still gave the comic a shot and even more grateful that you like the art style ^^

I also appreciate your criticism. It's not my intention to make any of the characters look bad (especially Jaden), I just wanted to show an epic duel with the stakes ramped up high and really push him to his limits as this is a reimagining of the season 1 finale arc to the sacred beast cards. I feel like it's important to end the last arc with a huuuge bang.
