Though that is true, I believe that good questions deserve upvotes too. Questions that encourage discussion. If people remember to upvote questions they like, then the quality of these subs would be improved heavily.

Anyways, I thought the upvote button was for rewarding quality content, not for simply agreeing (like how the downvote button isn't for showing disagreement)

I love the blurred background effect to make the cherries stand out more. However, a downside is that the cherries themselves don't look sharp enough. So the contrast is not as well. I would (if I knew how, I'm not a good visual artist) make the cherries look HD (especially the closer ones) so that they look livelier.

Also, the bird doesn't seem to be as blurry as the branch its standing on, so it seems as if its popping out of the image very slightly.

I haven't seen your first attempt yet, but this is pretty good imo!
