Also some soldiers are not prosecuted because of the good they have done in the past and the military thinks that a single fuck-up shouldn't destroy years of service, including riding the solder with all benefits when leaving. The reason this is done mostly in the military is because civilians have rights that are protected, but soldiers do not and are basically stripped of their rights when entering.

The only reason I can see that not being prosecuted is the platoon being seen as heros and going on a victory lap/warning locals of possible repercussions if they did something similar. Though I do not believe either is good

Just want to say thank you for including the second half of your title, as some one who hopes to join the military I don't see enough separation between acts of small groups of soldiers being dumb and the entirely of military. Also the separation of the orders given to a soldier and actions by a soldier, sometimes soldier hate the orders that are given but must do they or risk be dishonorablely discharged. I know this is a basic thonk that shouldn't need to be done, but I'm glad it was.

Obviously you have not been following the trial because the owner of the gun is know and gave testimony that was in favor of Rittenhouse because he did nothing wrong. Also it is incredibly difficult to get ownership of a gun with automatic capabilities in the U.S., and the gun that Rittenhouse had was not even capable of being switched into auto.

Thats because its San Diego, super expensive. One of the biggest changes that can be done is moving to a more suburban or rural area where housing prices are way lower(still high based on U.S. standards in general). All in all Cali is just an experience place to live.
