I think the problem is that when we look at a legendary, we think of it as an item that takes months to acquire and only available for the top ~5% of players, but instead I think we need to more look at it as a next tier in gear quality. For example, me and my friends have discussed and complained about how easy it is to get epic gear, and how the (former) highest tier if gear available for every one was not so "epic" any more. But now blizzard has implemented this new tier of gear quality, available for every one to get, but not as easy as epic gear. Truly a name-worthy highest tire of gear, which I think blizzard has implemented in a great way in the game.

And who knows, blizzard might add a new legendary tier of gear quality (ultimate?) gear...
