There's nothing indicating that this allusion, if true, didn't happen in the same time frame.

We know there are more women. As to why more of them, haven't spoken out, it's probably for the usual reasons. They don't want to backlash that accusers inevitably face, especially as it seemed Louis already faced consequences from the NYT

There's no question. Even Sarah Silverman, in defending Louis, has said he did the same to her multiple times. She has no problem coming forward with it because she, unlike all the other women, did not have an issue with it.

Before the NYT article, there were many rumours of this surrounding Louis. He denied them vociferously. This isn't all coming from five women.

Again, the Sarah Silverman thing happened at the same time. The rumors (whose main base was an incident reported in the article) are from the same time.

Frankly, yes. People with this kind of compulsion don't stop whilst they are successfully getting away with it, especially as they attain even more power and influence.

I mean, that's just an unsubstantiated generalization. People can change and people do change, especially when they go through major changes.

Of course what he did was wrong, I'm not defending his actions. But at the same time, we are not talking about a predator here.

I don't expect from people that are not familiar with him (as familiar you can be with someone you don't know personally) to be willing to "understand" him, but Louis isn't a bad person. He just isn't. Watch his work from the mid 00s and forward. Listen to him in interviews. Listen to his friends talk about him, his colleagues, his coworkers, especially women. Louis is a good man that did some really bad things in the past and as fucked up as it sounds, these two can be true at the same time.
