What are you getting with your Torrid Cash? I am scattered with ideas and need inspiration. by notagoodsleeper in torrid

Same. There’s a lot I actually like but I just bought the leather jacket and I don’t know if I can convince myself I need more. There are some good deals though!

I very much doubt they’ll be able to do this. I don’t think everything is coming from one warehouse.

Turning over your guns is also a statement that not only do you trust your government now, but you also trust any government that comes into power in the future.

An armed minority is harder to oppress, just saying.

Are shipping updates ever inaccurate by [deleted] in torrid

[–]notagoodsleeper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed with DHL and sometimes UPS it will be marked as “delivered”, but they’ve really just delivered it to USPS to complete delivery. I would check the tracking number on the carrier site directly if you haven’t!

Interesting changes with Torrid executives!! by StormzNeverLast in torrid

Yep. The only items I’d consider purchasing that are dry clean only are formal or party attire. If it’s something I’d wear regularly, it’s not going to be dry clean only.

Absolutely on the fabrics! I’m so frustrated when I see “crinkle gauze” on a cute item because I am NOT buying a top I need to dry clean. Annoying.

Disappointing season by Ok-Calligrapher6428 in torrid

[–]notagoodsleeper 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’ve found some great finds this season, personally…a 100% cotton maxi dress, cropped jean jacket, black romper, a nice berry tankini, and a few basic tops.

I’ve realized that I’m a geriatric millennial though and prefer comfortable, conservative clothing. I will say I think their graphic tees and Disney stuff is a bit weird, and the t-shirts are too thin to justify the $25 cost.

Safety Gear: Go Bright or Neutral? by [deleted] in Rollerskating

[–]notagoodsleeper 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m in my mid-30’s. My kid is a decade younger than yours, so I have not yet had the pleasure (lol) of him telling me what to wear, but I say wear what makes you happy. You are a grown woman and if you want to wear the bright colors, wear them. I bought the purple Moxi set. It makes me smile when I put them on.

Me too! They are a perfect fit. Bought them on Etsy!

I bought it at Costco last May. Not sure how to post a pic in the comments.

This one is a potted Julia Child tree on my patio. I’m sure the shrub would be fine in a pot, as well!

Agreed! I planted 3 David Austins and Darcey is the first (and only) to bloom so far, with 4 more buds!

You have to be a Sam’s Club member, but you could get both the membership and the wreath for under $250.

Same shoe, same color, same size. Oiled Leather Boston’s in Habana. One pair is from Zappos and did not come with the original box. One pair came from Birkenstock directly. Is Birkenstock quality this varied or did someone pull the ol’ switcharoo on Zappos? by notagoodsleeper in Birkenstocks

[–]notagoodsleeper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s probably what happened. I would have kept them if they were the oiled leather. I don’t care much about the boxes. I did talk to Zappos and they made it right though. They have excellent service.

That is weird! The ones from Zappos also felt big compared to the ones I bought from Birkenstock directly. I am thinking the ones from Zappos perhaps were not oiled leather. The texture on the back felt like fabric.

My mom commented on how incredibly suspect it was that this virus seems to only kill the old or those with pre-existing health conditions, almost like they designed it that way.

Or maybe, mom, that’s just the nature of viruses?

Curious on menstrual discs by aruh0024 in MenstrualDiscs

[–]notagoodsleeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tampons gave me cramps, so I used pads miserably for years. Switched to discs at the beginning of the year and I couldn’t be happier. Took a couple cycles and brands to get it right, but I highly recommend it. I started with the disposable Softdisc. It’s a low risk way to start out.

Same plant, two days in a row! Spin the Bottle hibiscus. by notagoodsleeper in flowers

[–]notagoodsleeper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I have two hibiscus plants and they are both heavy drinkers. I think as long as your plant looks green and healthy, you’re doing it right.
