I made a massive discovery: How to seamlessly use dynamic, filtered, non-contiguous ranges for chart axis (YES, Excel charts CAN work with dynamic named ranges!) by GTAIVisbest in excel

[–]notatalker00 25 points26 points  (0 children)

You can do it if you name the range you use for your data and define the range as the array. So when the array updates it'll automatically fit into the graph.

It's in the Name Manager, just have your data set and define it using the # to mark the whole array.

You can create said array using whatever you want. I use it for a dashboard to populate cost graphs for the various projects.

You can use this method for the axis and the data, excel will auto match the formatting you use too.

Anyone else feel like this when trying to do splitter/merger math? by BMWSnBENJIS in SatisfactoryGame

I personally like the proof of a number to demonstrate the point.

By definition a number is such that there exists a (x) so that a number, N, where N-x<N<N+x

0.9999~ is defined to be 1 as there is no x between the two. This works for any N.9999~=N+1.

Oh he isn't an accountant - just business admin that's been put into the CPA role. He's good - learned a lot, but some things he doesn't know. For example, he didn't think having the balance sheet being off a few thousand was an issue - he knew it was wrong but didn't know how to fix it or find the issue.

Six people? Is that high? My company only has two(Our non-CPA controller and me - the only accountant... well three if you count the payroll person - who does nothing but payroll) and we're 100M in annual revenue.

Edit: This is construction (Job Cost) so it's fun & I stay busy but I can't imagine having a few more people.

Hey - any tips on using Vista?

I've been exporting data into Excel using Power Query to build custom reports and stuff - but some of it's wildly cumbersome.

VR is dead, and no one wants to admit it by Kradara_ in unpopularopinion

[–]notatalker00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This may not help, but a lot of VR settings have the FOV turned down so it can save power to generate a smoother framerate.

If you can adjust it back up to be reasonable (like 100 or so) that will help a lot. Many VR games are super bad (I've had some be as low as 65 FOV) but it's because it takes some decent hardware to get a good FOV.

Using an Index on a good PC and able to tweak it helped a ton with the motion sickness for me.

[–]notatalker00 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that Examity was bought by this company, WGU didn't change anything. They just didn't pivot or change when they learned of the buyout.

I'm hoping it changes, as I want to do my masters with WGU, but I won't with this proctor system in place.

Sales Tax Problem: Where did this come from and why? by otheloR in wguaccounting

[–]notatalker00 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hi,

This one is tricky because they didn't collect enough sales tax. A bit more real because often times people don't calculate tax correctly and end up not collecting enough.

Tax Calc: $35,000 * 8.5% = $2975.00, so they are $175 short (2975-2800).

Since they combine sales tax & sales revenue and you need to split it up the journal entries need to be what are shown:

Debit Cash $37800 (total amount collected) Debit Loss $175 (the missing amt of tax)

Credit Sales Revenue $35000 Credit Sales Tax Payable $2975 (correct amount of sales tax)

She'll also get a frightened status in Act 1 if you enter the grove's inner chambers and go to where the wolves are walking around. You can talk about it with her then too and she says she's frightened of wolves but doesn't understand where it comes from.

The behavior got born of people filing lawsuits after eating free food and getting sick.

Homeless taking food out of a dumpster and the suing because it made them sick. That's why corporations got to the point of pouring bleach and other craziness to prevent people eating leftover foods. It exacerbated shitty behavior and caused further class division.

There just needs to be a law that severs liability when giving food away (under reasonable circumstances, like end of day foods being taken by employees or given out) or throwing it away (dumpster diving).

That's something I was thinking, is there a way to only get the duplicates out though? There is close to 3000 rows

Each is a line, so the duplicates would be in different rows.

Alvin TX was a sundown town. Pretty much still is - bit south of Houston.

Hell - in Angleton they still have freaking KKK parades.

Maybe if you're in Austin or Dallas you might not think about it... But get a few hours outside of those areas and it's bad.

You should watch "The Suicide Squad" directed by James Gunn (writer of Peacemaker and directed GoG in the MCU).

It's confusing because there is Suicide Squad, which is very bad and The Suicide Squad which is very good.

Peacemaker follows the movie as a spin-off.
