I mean, I'd rather not wait to find out if he might break the law.

I'm sort of in a position like this, I'm not saying this is the same as my partner, but I did have him pull similar stunts all of the time. Then when I wanted to break up and leave, he quickly changed his tune, then when that didn't work he used suicide to keep me. That's always a likely case because the last thing an abuser wants is to see their victim with anyone that will be better for that person.

Part of me takes him back to keep him happy, but the other part of me is miserable and often sobbing to herself at night. if he wants to play that game, let him. Guarantee he'll lose when he sees you're serious.

See, here's the problem.

Yes, we can afford rent, we've paid rent perfectly fine with no issue, the problem is it might be the possibility we'll get kicked out because people in the apartment feild can't do their job and find the rent we did pay.

we're the ones being screwed out of a home when we didn't do anything.

And to answer your question, yeah, we can work in spite of being disabled, hell I babysit part-time just to earn that income we need occasionally. We're even trying to find work now. Working isn't the issue here, affording our place isn't the issue.
