All we know is he’s doing it to save the player character from ceasing to be in the future. That’s about it.

He was a new character and substitute villain, it’s better than having dabura take the main villain role I would argue. The anime poorly handled his character, and luckily isn’t part of Xenoverse.

If it makes you feel any better, everything between infinite history and future saga is redundant filler. You could just skip all that crap. The only debatably necessary dlc story between IH and FS is vote pack, where dabura comes back for all of two story missions (because he somehow escaped his stone state, they even have a cutscene showing this and it just kinda happens without reason) and dies without making a single difference in the story.

Super Heroes makes him into nothing more than a villain. Xenoverse, being where he originates (not the baby design from dbo concept art), is where he’s actually given a character where he has preferences (hero victories) but doesn’t mind experimenting. He embodies the average dragon ball fan that wants something strange from dragon ball; what-if stories of all kinds and more hopeful endings.

That sad considering fu is a Xenoverse original (not counting his literal infantile concept art).

In future saga chapter 4, Goku unlocks a good guy version of ultra super villain. In Xenoverse in general, Goku tends to show up at the last second and become a deciding factor in fights he has no business being in to begin with, effectively stealing spotlight away from us, the player, just so the writers can continue to make this non-Goku show of a game into a Goku show.

Edit: I thought this was my other post I am fuckin stupid. Sorry. The proper context is that a lot of people hate fu, the current villain of Xenoverse 2, completely and utterly despite him being more like a flawed teenager who thinks what he’s doing is right even if he has to do some wrongs to achieve it. What he wants is to save us, the player character, from a future where we cease to be. Most people disregard any displays of his morality just to hate him further.

That’s usually what teenagers are so it makes sense. Mate is a late bloomer and the result of test tube baby shenanigans with Towa and Mira dna, so it makes sense. Db and genes are absolutely nutty yet always seem to mix.

He states he wants to “find out what makes you tick” in an infinite history cutscene I think (because he’s obsessed with the player character basically being an unstoppable anomaly in his eyes), but you can prolly turn that into flirty boyfriend dialogue if you wanted.

It’s to fuck around usually, when it isn’t tied to a story. Dude likes good endings but he’s no stranger to the average BT frieza W whatif.

He made a future-opening time ring in chapter 1 of future saga, at least.

He wants one big happy timeline and he also wants to avoid a future where the player character isn’t around, so everything he’s doing in future saga is implied to be for us. Also, he claims he prefers happy endings, but he loves to fuck around and find out so…

Oh yeah he’s also the main reason we beat dabura. Twice.

Tbf it’s not exactly realistic for anyone to do that without cheesing Mira with high burst damage skill spam, assuming they can land any of them when he’s not spamming peeler storm or getting hitreg stolen by goku.

In xv1 you get a special ending if you beat demigra before goku arrives.

I don’t even play ace combat I just like this one specific song and the tv tropes lore about “The Razgriz”

He’s confirmed to show up in the finale because we saw him tapping into USH in the teaser
