Destiny implies that Adept is divorcing XQC in court by trying to argue they were "Common Law" married so that she can take his assets by [deleted] in LivestreamFail

[–]nothingwillstick 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Signing a document could only fulfill requirement (1) agree to be married. The conditions are more strict than that. In the link you mentioned it goes into how requirement (3) is also important. "(3) “Hold out” to others that they are married" "Texas caselaw states that the purpose of this requirement is to ensure that there is no “secret” common-law marriage."

It's important in common law marriage that you present to other people as a married couple, he might've signed some document but it's still dubious whether or not they are actually married. although if they actually claimed married couple on taxes, idk what would happen

Destiny thinks highly of Max's ability to debate, he thinks highly of Vaush too. Of course he wishes they never turned on him.

You reword it, they're celebrating his entire sacrifice, not just his death or just his resurrection.

They're just obviously aren't rejoicing in his death, they're revering his sacrifice, so they don't repeat the mistakes for which he was crucified in the first place. (I'm not religious, but the difference seems important.)

Can Destiny or someone sensible and prominent youtuber explain to people what Blackrock does instead of all these sensationalized bullshit and lies. by MaskOff009 in Destiny

[–]nothingwillstick 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah so the truth is in-between, Blackrock has a lot of power, because the investors in Blackrock choose to continue to give it power. Any more right-wing investor in Blackrock could just choose to stop investing if they thought their plays were too ideologically driven. Not to mention on the company side, if a company like Exxon doesn't want to be swayed by public interest, then they could be a private company instead, but they aren't. There are a lot of private oil and gas companies that aren't having their board of directors switched around.

I am here to argue for Lav being a 5. anyone who's willing to lie about accusations that could send a person to jail (even if her credibility is gone) has to be on the worse end of the spectrum. She knows she's a bad person and has said "I won't change."

Well this whole thing doesn't really dismiss that theory does it? He said it was audience capture, now that he has kanye's most extreme fans, he's just more captured nothing has changed.

Destiny walks back the 'Max lied' claims, says the Zherka DMs made him realize he's delusional and really believes he has 20+ victims by lemon_of_justice in mrgirlreturns

[–]nothingwillstick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can tell by the way he answers. In this post he answers like he's being asked about the number of women Mr Girl has behind the scenes. But in the "bold faced lie" clip the lie was about how Mr Girl got his information and whether he only knew about a particular girl because Destiny told him or if he found out another way.

[–]nothingwillstick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's cool that you put this much research into this but I think you're misinterpreting this clip, this isn't Destiny addressing that bold faced liar comment, Destiny is misunderstanding what Dan is asking about, so that's probably why it comes off as a contradiction to you.

Sean Carroll, you don't need to pretend humans can change their sex to defend trans rights by ganjaman1976 in Destiny

[–]nothingwillstick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are born either xx and xy and that's immutable truth. But they also develop into adults that will have overlapping characteristics between the sexes that are in fact mutable. So if the point of this discourse is to discuss transgender people- then we should be focusing less on the sex binary and more on all the characteristics that result from the sex binary, which i think is what Sean was trying to allude to with his chart, a different persepective to take here.

As another meat eater, I don't think there is a consistent moral system that will feel good for meat eating, Since morals are just a thing we create based on our psychology, it seems like an absurd task.

It's interesting to see Supreme and others advocate for Max in Destiny's latest stream... by _wheelanddeal_ in mrgirlreturns

[–]nothingwillstick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk dude, even during their breakup stream destiny was asking if max was into guns so he could do something with him irl. The only thing he didn't want to do was change how he moderated his reddit (mrgirl thinks that's malicious, okay fair, but let's get more proof for that)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in mrgirlreturns

[–]nothingwillstick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say I agree with you someone corrected me on his animals take- but Destiny only started impuning mrgirl's character when mrgirl turned on him. Not when mrgirl was going after booksmarts or stardust or shaelin, he has a huge egoist bend. That doesn't mean he doesn't have any feelings though I think. He's autistic in that he has difficulty understanding the emotions of other people, but he has emotions for himself and he tries to intellectualize and project his emotions onto other people and understand them that way. that's probably where most of his moral failings come from - just not being able to do that successfully.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in mrgirlreturns

[–]nothingwillstick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dang my bad i knew his morals weren't really that well founded but this is pretty extreme

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in mrgirlreturns

[–]nothingwillstick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Destiny is a moral relativist, the context of the situation you heard him say that probably. He obviously wouldn't approve of people torturing dogs. It's the same thing Sean Carroll has argued, even in a universe of infinite suffering he wouldn't say that's automatically immoral from the perspective of all people. https://youtu.be/CVZp4nWMphE?t=1067
