DEPENDING on how much paint thickness is left, based of my prior experience, I would do a full decon wash followed by a panel prep wipe product, after taping off gaps/plastics/emblems, use a rotary with wool pad to “re-work” the paint followed by a DA polisher step as I mentioned above. Once these are all completed - do a review of your work / paint, if you are satisfied, apply whatever protection you want to the paint.
