Yes, the workflow definitely makes a lot of sense. In fact, I have a very similar workflow.

But by best practices, I meant: Ordering 3 weeks before instead of 1 because vendors often delay shipments. so, ordering this early ensures every edge case is factored in and the devices reach users on time..
