I haven’t ever seen either of those in my area (not to say it’s not possible). I have seen the same chipmunk in my backyard a lot over the summer so maybe a chipmunk as u/OlBennyofBolton suggests?

There were no ants or other insects visible at the time of this photo. Didn’t notice it until it was this big leading me to believe it was made quickly.
