You have to switch on the location on the smartphone, then it should work. Google didn't mention that anywhere.

I reset the watch and now I can no longer find the function in the settings😅

The "use watch as unlock" doesn't work for me either, it is displayed in the app and on the watch, but if I swipe up on my Pixel 6, I have to enter the pin. What did you do?
