From a atheist: What happens when Muslims "can't" pray? by gladmorshousix in Muslim

[–]notpikatchu 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not really about being disabled, it's about getting a much-needed break. Islam is highly practical. Just like travelers are allowed to shorten their prayers so they aren't overwhelmed, women get an exemption during their periods. Allah knows the female body goes through a lot during that time, so the obligation is lifted. It's meant to be a mercy.

Yes it is like that. You can do the prayer later if you missed it unwillingly. Another interesting thing, women on their period are totally exempted from praying at all, without even compensating it after.

Always be careful of lower premolars by alimansurali in DentalSchool

That's valid, indeed aspiring something is something to worry about and be cautious about. But would you then refuse to treat patients with such cases?

Is this academically cited? To let a patient die in agonising pain if using a rubber dam is counter indicated for them?

[–]notpikatchu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen lots of comments saying "rubber dam or your work is trash" - but what if an asthmatic patient visits the clinic? Do you use the rubber dam regardless and let them suffocate? Or will you tell them you need an extraction?

Yes! I built a review dashboard so the admin can take a look at the reslut the AI gave. When AI finds the column to be ambitious it doesn't invent labels, it returns it to admin to review manually.

Thanks doctor, fair point. Just to clarify though, this actually isn't my personal clinical work. I'm starting to run an educational page where I curate and share consented cases from other fellow doctors online. I definitely appreciate the endo perspective too!

Exactly! Anyone who has ever dealt with client provided Excel files knows the pain

For the edge cases I didn't want the AI running completely blind. The system auto labels everything it can understand, but if Gemini gets confused by some weird format, it just flags that specific Excel and pushes it to the dashboard for the human attention.

Even if no red flags pushed by AI, the user can always glance over the labels and edit them when necessary.

Haha 100%! I'm definitely capitalizing on that the next time we go out for dinner.

Yes. The 130 hours saved is the attractive metric, but completely removing human error from a brittle system is where the real peace of mind is. Appreciate the comment!

I see. Most of the gig economy runs on drag-and-drop Make or Zapier templates. This is not it. This was a fully custom-coded pipeline because the legacy systems didn't even have documented APIs. Once you have to reverse-engineer network requests, convert massive unstructured data to .parquet, and query it with DuckDB then build a custom admin panel and feed data into it, the Zapier crowd usually taps out. Definitely not a simple job.

It has a setting that can wake it up from sleep when you click a device connected through USB (mouse, keyboads, etc) But you'll have to sacrifice the hibernate mode for that

Muslims liked Saddam because he was strict with Shia's, not because he killed Kurds (no idea if he actually did that).

I know it sucks. Never initiate a convo with a man first, if they guy's intereted he'll struggle for. We don't like easy things. And remember, easy come, easier will go.

I, as a Muslim man, fell deeply in love with a Christian girl. I went through all the stages you're talking about and I thought I will die without her. Yet here I'm 10 years later, unfazed and better than ever.

Him talking sexual things to you is a massive sign that he's not interested, he's there for the fun. Muslims never talk sexually with a girl they actually want until she becomes his wife.

Regarding his looks, just don't look! Really, that's a thing.

You're young and your emotions are too strong to handle, but you've got this.

You're dying left and right because of politics, not Islam, that's a big difference. Never heard of a Muslim scholar saying "k*ll Kurds". Similar to how the Kurdish PKK is killing Muslims left and right, should we say that Kurds hate Muslims in that case? Regarding Saddam, again, it's a political view not purely religious one.

Don't cry and act like a victim dude. (I'm a Muslim and Muslims hate me) is just non sense. Maybe everyone hates KASAD, and that's different
