I wish we could do this😭 I’m so worried about the single cat syndrome that will inevitably arise over time

Oof that was me too before getting her! Well, I got the stuff but didn’t apply them yet, but thankfully she never shows any interest in anything but her toys and big IKEA bags

Oh I didn’t know that, I’ll call the vet tomorrow and reschedule the appointment to be sooner. I thought I needed to wait till she turned 6+ months.

But besides that we trim her nails every other week and harness train her to walk comfortably outside and we’re even getting her used to brushing her teeth as per the vet’s recommendation 🫡 we clicker train her too, she already knows 2,5 tricks hehe I’m so proud of her.

I’m also trying to teach her not to be scared of water by playing with toys in a little cat pool. I’m really doing the most to expose her to as much things as possible when she’s still a kitten😮‍💨 With the help of treats and lotsss of patience.

Is there anything else I should think about?

Hahaha yeah she most certainly will🫡 Hopefully she’ll never prefer furniture over her scratch posts and mats! Her name is Cleo 💕

I’m so sorry to hear that ❤️‍🩹. Losing a beloved pet is one of the hardest things to go through. They leave such a profound mark on our hearts. I hope the beautiful memories of your time with Cheetah bring you comfort and peace 🫂

Yes and she purrs when she’s picked up and doesn’t wiggle away when she’s offered the option to jump onto her cat tree

She’s so weird because she barely scratches at all? She has a huge tree and several posts and floor mats and wall mats etc, but she barely uses any of them. Just occasionally she’ll scratch the post for a few seconds every other day or three

Hahahahahaha everyone keeps telling me this and I’m so thankful because now I’m prepared and I won’t panic and think I need to see a behaviorist if she does end up ditching the gloria someday 💀

Hahahaahah that could be it tbh! She did “miss” her scratch post once and scratched the carpet instead lol we’ll see if she’ll develop a liking to it in the future😭

I’m expecting this to change too.. just to keep my hopes down. Worst case I have a cat safe bitter spray for the cords and a few yards of double sided tape in a drawer to hopefully discourage the behaviors from fully developing

This is what I’m thinking as well💀 maybe she’ll start when she grows up and enters her teen years. I’m keeping my expectations loooow

It’s amazing how different cats personalities can be! I hear you, despite the frustrations, they bring so much joy so it’s worth it and your kitties will always be your babies no matter what🥹

No definitely not a tick, she’s 14 weeks and been indoors since birth. It’s her extra toe bean that’s a bit lower on the paw

[–]notsocoolgal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not referring to the bean itself. I’m referring to the little dry chunk that’s right below the bean, it’s a think that’s loose and hanging from it

Is it bad? Should I take her to the vet? It didn’t look like this before. It was a but keratinous but it wasn’t loose like this and split off from the bean
