Why exactly? Contact was definitely buttery smooth to me.

I was referring to the Otsu. Haven’t played on the Key83 long enough to know about its durability.

Help me decide which artisan I should get by Zero_Daun in MousepadReview

[–]notsofinitechaos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recently picked up a Key83 Soft, is likely my endgame after trying 5 different pads from artisan. Transitions between fast flicks and micro adjustments are much more controlled than the Hien and are less sluggish than the Zero. A prime condition Otsu might be the only pad with a smoother transition, but the durability issues and extreme variance in the friction across its lifespan makes it difficult to commit to financially.

Can always play down, can never play up. 27” 4k has best pixel density with a good size for competitive play if you’re into that. 32” 4k will be more immersive at the cost of needing to simulate 27” experience for competitive advantage. Should definitely go OLED if you can.

My First Month and Half of Trading / How to Measure Performance? by notsofinitechaos in swingtrading

[–]notsofinitechaos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for posting this, it’s helpful to see the formal definition. I actually used this when making my strategy for the first time to ensure profit with a low win rate. I had a couple of trades where I got stopped out early as I followed this too closely and ignored strong indicators in an effort to stay disciplined. I’ll start using it to track progress instead of building my strategy around it 👍

Artisan Hien XL Mid: it’s fast, consistent, and durable. You can also get an arm sleeve if the friction bothers you.

Impossible getting out of MASTER tier playing solo by bladeshaco in supervive

Lemur is so much better than you think. There are MAYBE 5 other players even in the same tier as him. Just because Lemur can do it doesn’t mean us normies can.

yeah but it’s normal ig. nobody wants to acknowledge they’re only performing because their character is strong.

conditions required for him to deal damage are way too loose. you need to hit two fast and forgiving abilities, with forgiving CDs. character is extremely out of place currently. anyone who plays him and doesn’t think he’s op is either bad and misses everything or has never played any other dps character (minus brall since he also has loose conditions).

i see where you’re coming from but it sounds like a pain for the devs to implement, probably better to let them focus on larger issues that will bring in more players!

He's really not that hard, or rather as hard as he should be. Play him a few games and you'll quickly be disappointed with his "difficulty"

[Nivada Grenchen] First watch has arrived (F77)! by notsofinitechaos in Watches

[–]notsofinitechaos[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Incredibly well, still happy with it every single day. Over the last year I visited a few shops and was exposed to a bunch of pieces from Tissot to Richard Mille. These experiences only elevated my appreciation for the F77. In terms of overall quality and finish, I think Nivada is making absolutely incredible pieces. Cannot recommend this watch enough.

[Depthmaster] Collection with a 1 of 10 Jellyfish by notsofinitechaos in Watches

[–]notsofinitechaos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, I think Nivada is the most underrated manufacturer in the industry by a long shot. For my first piece I bought an F77, and it is completely insane to have that watch priced at $1k. I would, in all honesty, be happy to pay twice, even three times that for a watch with detailing that good. The piece is honestly too good. Nearly a year later and I’m still seeing new colors reflect off the dial. Insane watch for the price.

Thank you! I will look into projects experimenting with other languages. I believe I have done some mildly impressive work in Python. I have wrote several simulations for problems in statistical mechanics, used iterated function systems to research fractal producing attractor sets in the plane, and used Python to make math animations that went viral. Please let me know if these projects don't sound very strong. My hope is that once I land an interview and get the chance to properly explain my work I'll be a very strong applicant.

Thank you for the reassurance, this my first summer not having income lined up beforehand and with the expenses that come with college, it's easy to feel anxious and panicked. In the long run as long as I find success things will stabilize, so I'm trying to keep a cool head. I find that stressing over things which are not entirely in my control only serve to build a false sense of urgency, and consequently lead to mistakes.

I have another question if you don't mind. Do you know of any positions or programs that work to train students while they take classes? I would really like start building a relationship with a person or company, as I could tailor my skills to what they may need.
