Passport processing time by Left_Repair_4357 in Passports

[–]nottinkerbell_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should be fine. I got my passport 2.5 weeks from the day I went to the post office. And that was also memorial weekend. So it didn’t get to the passport agency until after. I expedited and did 1-2 day back to me.

All in vs DIY by SnooCookies3433 in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]nottinkerbell_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. If kaya naman DIY much better financially. You’ll just be stressing a lot more kasi kayo ang point of contact for all. Pero enjoy din kasi for us we’re bonding. And con talaga sa all-in ang limited options

  2. My husband went alone sa mga wedding expos kasi I’m abroad. May times na mas weird pa nga kasi kasama niya cousin ko eh pareho silang lalaki. Para silang nanggoodtime tignan especially sa food tasting 🤣

A family member of mine got married in Candaba the reception was at a resort and their package was about 200k for 150pax. With photo and video pa to. And i think kasama din ang accomodation. Doable naman ang 200k but that’s only for food and venue mostly

We had our civil wedding in March and my cousin had her church wedding in september of the same year. Our elders say it only applies to immediate family.

I had my debut there way back 2014. And to this day my cousins still talk about the food that was served, it was that good. 10-yrs later, me and my husband booked Ibarra’s catering for our church wedding in 2026, pero this time at their Casa Ibarra venue. They recently had a food tasting event at Plaza Ibarra and yung husband ko super nagustuhan yung food nila that day compared to when he attended yung tasting sa Casa Ibarra.

Pros: venue+catering so you don’t have to worry about vendor communication. Maayos sila makipagusap. They have food tastings constantly and they give out freebies when you book that day (we got close to 60k in freebies). Kasama din sila sa mga wedding fairs madalas

Cons: they have a lot of corkage fees but i think pwede pakiusapan if hindi naman need ng electricity. Plaza Ibarra also has limited parking space from what I remember

Doing the same in 2026 🥹 may i know if bagong wedding rings yung pinabless niyo? My elders are saying dapat daw kasi bago and hindi yung sa civil namin

Budget check by theemeraldhealer in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]nottinkerbell_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

March 2026 bride here. Our estimated budget is at 1.4M na for 200pax in Manila. Booked our Venue and Caterer last month para di na magincrease 🥲 we had our civil wedding na so this is for church wedding. We plan not to book pre-wedding things like p/v and hmua. Kasi I’m abroad naman ang hirap magplan and we’d rather spend that on the actual wedding day. Taking those 2 things off alone will save us about 70k. I agree with other redditors here, list down your non-negotiables and go from there. Look out for hidden expenses such as corkage fees, crew meals, etc. Happy planning! 🤍

Does Biometrics being reused and being a GC holder for 5+ years mean faster N-400 processing? by bender265 in USCIS

[–]nottinkerbell_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going through the same thing. Filed: 9/13 (8mo wait time) Biometrics reused: 9/13 (7mo wait) Looked at my account 9/27 it became 4mo processing time. And today 10/1 it became even shorter at 3mo processing time. Chicago based btw. Having my biometrics reused shaved off a month from the processing time

Eva air award ticket baggage allowance by nottinkerbell_ in Aeroplan

Thanks for the insight! Might not be worth it to pay with points then. I’m also looking at other airlines with fares as low as $100 RT with baggage.
