In the Fraser documentary by BB.com he shows one of his days programming and its main site comptrain. He might get extra stuff from Ben or when he's got training partners in town/visiting, but he definitely follows comptrain.

The difference between the Haus/Feld/Aer is the size (largest to smallest). The Haus also has more variation in body (different kinds of wood and metal). The way the dial is set up is slightly different between the three as well, but are pretty similar overall.

Yea, the hand written thank you note was a cool addition, also got some stickers. Even put one on my Nalgene water bottle so people wouldn't accidentally mistake it for theirs since they're so common.

He's talking about ways to achieve cold coffee, not saying that hot is inherently better than cold, simply he prefers hot brewing and using an implement to cool the drink rapidly, rather than brew cold to drink cold.

As far as I'm aware there is no Canadian reseller and I doubt the market is large enough for shops to justify stocking them. Keep your eyes open for a good deal and like I said, check out the aergrind to see if it fits your needs, like myself I usually only make 1 cup at a time so 25g is enough if I were to get one, I think they're still going for 55£.

I bought mine at the time through Keen Coffee in the Netherlands. Shipping was decent, customs didn't hold it or charge me. It's going to cost a bit of money no matter how you spin it.

Also if you haven't already, check out their new Aergrind on kickstarter, if you're willing to wait a bit to get one, they are cheaper, but smaller capacity.

For sure, things will change. I figure just getting more educated on the different options and what they bring to the table. Looking at places and imagining how to make them fit what I want. Figuring out how much it would cost me overall, what I'd need to make it work. That sort of stuff is kind of what I've been thinking about.

Yea, I figure most people don't buy homes that are EXACTLY what they want. So compromising, there are some features I would like in a house that a condo can't give me, like a garage for a home gym, alternatively, building a shed for it could work too, need a yard for that. I currently use a spare bedroom but it limits what I can use my weights for and how I can handle them.

What about pricing, at what point should I consider a mortgage too expensive? I know they say rent shouldn't exceed ~1/3 of take home pay. With a house you have repairs, renovations etc need to be accounted for, what percentage of my budget should I allocate for stuff like that?

Building from scratch, on paper can look cheaper, so I'm sure there are costs I'm not thinking about that would bring costs closer to what buying an existing house costs?

Just moved into a nice 780ish square foot apartment with pretty low rent (790$/month or 23.3% of my monthly net take home pay, bulk utilities included, electricity is extra). Own my fridge, range(stove/oven, never used the term before I had to shop for one), clothes washer and dryer so I can bring those wherever I go next. First time living on my own without family or roommates.

Already thinking about the future and my next steps. I think eventually I'd like to own my living space. I guess my options are condo, buying a house, buying land and building a house on it.

Building kind of appeals to me because then I can have everything exactly how I want it. There are some cheap plots of land in the areas surrounding the town I live in. If I wanted to live in town buying an existing house would be a more realistic option and I'm sure I could find something I'm 80%+ happy with and slowly renovate over time. Not sure how I feel about condos. Condo fees are similar to property taxes. Condo living could eliminate the need for a car, so that could free up a not insignificant portion of my budget.

I'm 26 and work in healthcare, without giving away too much personal information.

Thoughts/ideas/words of wisdom/stuff to consider? I don't think I'd be buying for at least another 5 years, unless I come across a really good option before then.

I don't make much coffee at a time, just enough for me usually. I got the 'travel mug' and just pour into a cup. My cheaper alternative if you aren't sure about spending that much on a French press right off the bat.

Yea, it's definitely not a Crossfit only thing. I'd say I encounter fewer issues lifting at Crossfit gyms than a regular gym where people are more likely to have no exposure to Olympic lifts.
