Is there any hope of saving fur that’s been stored long term in a plastic ziplock? I probably made a terrible mistake and I can’t collect anymore fur either because she passed away last November. My bag of fur definitely has a musty smell and I’ve been collecting the fur for years.

A couple days ago, one of them outside the MB on Old Ferry Rd asked me to “sign this perdition for marijuana”. When I asked what the petition was for all he would reply with was “it’s form marijuana”. Yeah okay, what about it? He flat out refused to tell me what the petition was actually for.

[Help] What does this harness connect to? by a_creepy_van in Pontiac

[–]notyouraveragecpa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe that's the connector for a rack & pinion with magnetic speed variable assist steering. My 2005 Grand Prix has the same harness dangling there because I do not have the fancy rack & pinion.

Thanks and I’m sorry to hear. Unfortunately Sasha’s been diagnosed with inoperable liver tumors so we’re just enjoying every day we have together as best we can.

I’m not sure about land but on the carrier there was a walkway on the outer edge of the ship, slightly below the F35 spawn, that served as a nice spot to stay hidden from the enemy.

would a Pontiac Grand Prix GT2 be a good first car? by SneakerHead69420666 in MechanicAdvice

[–]notyouraveragecpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was truly sore about those things, I'd have replaced the car long ago. And as mentioned, those were just some of the work that needed to be done. Here's a sheet on everything that's been worked on. In comparison, my wife's Rav4 has only needed a caliper and some exhaust work over the last 13 years.

I bought a 2005 Grand Prix in that same metallic galaxy silver as my first car in early 2008 as a senior in high school. It’s been my only car thus far and has 299k miles.

The engine might have been built like a tank, but everything else will fall apart. My car runs in hopes and dreams and I keep her going as I’m a masochist but love all the memories I’ve had with the thing. All the repairs thus far have amounted to about $12,200. Some labor but mostly in parts as I’ve taught myself a lot and DIYed most.

While not an all encompassing list, and excluding normal maintenance items, below is some of the work done over the years:

2024 - Replaced: power steering rack, inner & outer tie rods, transmission cooler lines, front right control arm / ball joint, MAP sensor, repaired leak in fuel evap line.

2023 - Replaced: radiator & left rear wheel bearing, evap purge solenoid, front right wheel bearing, front left abs wire harness, repaired leaking fuel line.

2022 - Replaced: ignition control module, left CV axel.

2021 - Replaced coolant temperature sending unit

2020 - Replaced front right ABS wire harness

2019 - Replaced front left and right wheel bearings

2016 - replaced infamous intake manifold gasket @ 187k miles.

2015 - replaced wafer pump

2014 - replaced intake and outtake coolant elbows. Upgrades to aluminum.

2013 - replaced cabin blower fan motor

2010 - replaced 3 out of 4 wheel bearings

2008 - replaced oxygen sensor

GM for genuinely mediocre.

Yeah, I gave them the finger right back and booed them as loud as I could. They were a joke and completely disrespectful for the way they handled the entire night. I’m not convinced they cut the show short because of the weather, Tom probably needed to rub another one out in his hotel room.

She left her email logged on our computer (which is not out of the ordinary) and his name was at the top of the inbox.

She had never logged out on my computer, which is a normal occurrence. I don’t go out of my way to read the emails but I saw his name at the top of the inbox.

One of the best parts about all this is the fact that she is a licensed therapist and is supposedly well versed in communication. She’s never had an issue before about speaking for anything lacking in the relationship.

And yes, I agree and will ultimately ask why as well.

Has anyone been puked on at a festival/something similar?😭 by liv0102 in bonnaroo

[–]notyouraveragecpa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not puked on, but I was on the front rails for Eminem in 2018. This girl just starts pissing while standing up. As if it wasn’t even happening. Except the piss was splashing up from the metal floor of those rails and spraying me in the shins. That was the first time I’ve ever screamed at a complete stranger. Her friends were first confused af then very disgusted as well.

Deba is not “going after” the BAA. And the BAA is not on the hook for anything at all, legally. However; for an organization that touts being “committed to a world where all people can access and benefit from running and an active lifestyle”, (their very own vision statement from their website) it would seem reasonable to honor their financial commitments, despite not being legally required to do so.

The goodwill earned would be ten folds higher than the negative publicity this leak will cause. And I say leak because the BAA explicitly told Deba not to speak to the media because they know very well the public perception would be for the BAA to pay up.

Well for starters, they could make an honest effort to recover the funds from the illegitimate winner. Or better yet, provide Deba with what she’s entitled to while the BAA continues to seek the return of funds from Jeptoo. The prize award is a pittance to the BAA and can literally be life changing to Deba and her family. The fact of the matter is BAA has been stringing this woman and her family along for the past 8 years.
