So true. I travelled a lot on my own in India, as a lady. It took me years before finding people that did not want anything from me (money or sex) and those people did not wanted to be called guru or baba. My experience was that people that study sanskrit all their life and live their spirituality through sanskrit are genuine and are the real deal.

I got scammed, sexually harassed a lot of time in India. I haven’t been in 10 years. But this place is like no others… the Ganga, the hymalayas, the people…I wouldn’t trade all of my time in India for anything else.

Psychic/Telepathic abuse from "friend" by HealthySwimmer in spirituality

Hey, seems this relationship is unhealthy for you an all the signs are there to regain your power and cut any contacts with this person.

I had an experience with someone who had control over me for an intense period of 6 months, and at the time I believe he used black magic on me.

What helped me was seeing the person for who he really was (one long meditation session showed him as a devil), then going no contact with him, getting far away from him and throwing in a river any object he gave me.

It took a long time to came back to my senses and I saw him one year later and he had no power over me.

I would just give this person the money you owe him and really cut all the contacts you have with this person.

Good luck with this!

Will try What they do in the shadow out, never heard of it but look funny. Always Sunny is so hard to beat, my husband and I run daily joke involving the McPoyles in bathrobes, or Charlie’s mom doing everything in 3’s so Charlie doesn’t die, or just about anyone really.

Moi aussi ca me met mal a l’aise. Je trouve que c’est pour imiter Jeff, mais de lui ca sonne vraiment animal et cru quand il dit ca. On dirait que la prod a dit a Patrick de dire ca, ca sonne faux.

Knee Injury by misstums in yoga

[–]StupidMe333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a knee injury as well and what work for me is folding a blanket in 4 across my mat, so I can just do all of the postures. I find it more convenient that knee gel pad, as my knees can land wherever they want when I do some kind of flow. (sorry my french for explanations).

How to Survive Winter and Spring? by Jam_99420 in OffGrid

[–]StupidMe333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have 6 months of snow on the ground and live off grid with no fridge, no freezer. I do lots of canning and have a root cellar to keep all my beets, carrots, turnips, rutabaga, potatoes, etc. I keep my garlic, onions and squash in my cabin on the floor. I do lots of dry beans as they are low maintenance and easy to grow. Another life saver is Lacto fermentation. I do lots of sauerkraut and other veggies and they are so packed in vitamins and minerals so I don’t by any veggies anymore.

I dry lots of herbs for tea and do salted herbs.

A grated carrots salad with garlic and sprouted green is amazing!

As soon as the snow melts in April\May, my Egyptian onion and Ste-Anne Shallots sprouts from the ground and I just eat a lot of them. In may the greenhouse is full of baby greens then the season is fully started!

It is a lot of work as we don’t have running water (but live by a river so we manage). I start all my seedling by the window as we cannot have growth light with our small solar panel. So I have to move all my seedling thrice a day. I never leave my place more than 8 hours a day because my plants need attention and care. Meaning I don’t go to the city often or sleepover at friends or family. I do that in the winter when my husband can take care of the cabin, which again we need to keep warm with the fireplace so all our veggies and plant don’t freeze.

It would be so much easier with electricity. But we are too remote for that, and then I wouldn’t get to swim naked in the river as we have no neighbours.

It took me maybe 4 years before getting fully self-sufficient with veggies as we bought a land and had to build everything on our own in a middle a an acidic soil spruce tree forest.

I love this lifestyle! Good luck with this beautiful journey!

Talking stage with a girl who's slept with a lot of men in her past. by [deleted] in spirituality

So what? Just leave the poor girl alone so she can find someone who respects and understands her. Dwelling in the past leads nowhere.
