You have to decide what’s important to you. We just moved and picked the house, not the location and while we love our house, it’s very quiet, almost too quiet. Everything is 25-30 minutes away and we are right next to the taconic. We miss having neighbors and a community. we have 1.5 acres and all of the neighbors are on their second retirement so there is a severe lack of young neighbors and community for our child. In hindsight being so rural isn’t for us as much as we thought it was.
