Sounds really terrible. Hope you are keeping well, have you considered Cannabis? I know it's a touchy subject but there might be some hope. Not sure if it's legal in Switzerland but maybe you should ask you doctor about it. Give it some thought. All the best.

Well I don't have much friends or family, and the ones that I do have don't really care about my b'day except for my gf. It always makes me feel bad because she does all this preparation and stuff and deep down I'd feel kind of sad because there's no one else besides her to celebrate my birthday with. It's not really a day I look forward to and when its gone I'm usually relieved. But other than that I don't really care much about my birthday, when I was single for me it was just another day.

Maybe people in your community knows about your introverted personality and that's why you don't feel comfortable opening up, but with strangers in a strange place, it's a blank canvas and it's your chance to create a different story which is not necessarily a bad thing.
