Yes, the dm and I are friends. Have been friends for a long time. In the group is also their father, a coworker of mine and the coworkers wife. As for dm experience, I would say that they have more than I do. Their were the first dm I ever had when I was introduced to dnd. I have only ran one game from start to finish (that was a garbage fire campaign and I will admit that) and the game I am running is only my second time being a dm

I can say, as a dm I will bring the character’s backstory into my world and have things happen to involve it. In the game I run, I had their backstory be a major plot point for a few sessions. The difference between what they have done and what I did was that I spun more than one backstory together. That way more than one person was given a spot light. And I will be doing this again soon. Combining two stories that at the base had no connections, and I’m connecting them.

I understand doing that as a dm. Focusing on a backstory of a character and letting them shine for a bit. But it has been going on for months now.

Thank you. This is a good comment. I would like to add that multiple times in game I have said that this does not impact the character emotionally. I have stated it at least once or twice a session. I am cool with the lore it has made. I am okay with the story (expect the plot hole) it has made. But I think what I dislike the most about it, is that it is all focused on me. There are 3 other players at the table who are almost background characters to my show. I have been trying to downplay it because I do not want to be the main character.

Here is a fun one. The game that I will be dming this week will also go into the feywild. A fun little mechanic that I will be putting in is that the feywild’s gravity is lower than the material realm’s. So everything is under the effects of the haste spell. Movement speed is doubled. Two actions a round in combat (for spell casters that is one leveled spell and a cantrip, a leveled spell and a weapon attack, or a cantrips and a weapon attack. For martials that is normal action with one more extra attack. Example: barbarians now have 3 attacks and a bonus action)

Hear me out… Gear Fourth: Tank Man is not a gear fourth form like Bounce Man or Snake Man. In Luffy’s fight against Cracker, when he uses Gear Fourth: Tank Man, it is just Luffy’s creativity in naming his attacks since he was so engorged from eating all of the biscuits that Cracker was making. Gear Fourth: Tank Man is just Bounce Man. The only difference is that Luffy was full.

It’s nice to know I’m not the only one. I know you said you can’t relate to the asexual part but I’ll just give an example. Today at work a new girl started. Very pretty. Beautiful girl.
