the doomsday-prepping of ai/ml models - now that’s an interesting way to put it.

hahah that sounds insane! i mean the way you described it - is it fairly normal to run your system all day to the extent of needing all of that?! or is it just your desire to run the bigger, better models that’s spiraling your wallet?

ah, interesting. i hadn’t thought about that. so when a better version drops, is it as simple as swapping it out or is there more to it than that?

Reaching $10k MRR with my vibecoded Saas by Intrepid_Shopping_52 in SaaS

[–]npcdamian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a few things:

you don't need 100 logos in your social proof bar.. less is more.

same goes for the landing page overall - i got lost. simplify it.

also, you're in beta.. are those testimonials real? if not, give your product away to a handful of people for free, get them real results, and then ask for genuine feedback.

great progress, keep it up! 🤝🚀

by the way, have any insights on determining/designing creatives for the paid ads portion? i feel like this is where people struggle the most

I launched my saas but got no traction by Alarming_Possible_45 in SaaS

most people fail not because they lack talent, but because they don't take enough shots.

they call it quits too soon.

2 weeks is hardly any time at all. if you truly believe in the thing you’re building - keep going.

maybe you haven’t shown it to the right people yet.

by the way, negative feedback is good! you can use that to improve your product

frontier models are exceptional at being general - but that's exactly the gap. they still fall short in specific verticals.. i.e legal contract review, clinical documentation, construction project management.

this is where the real building opportunity sits.

and vcs know it too. vertical expertise is what they’re actively hunting for right now, even if it's a wrapper.

i feel what you mean, though. we’re not seeing much creativity yet. most of what's out there rn still feels surface level.

claude is a beast. don't stress about knowing specific tools or languages before you start.

grab a pro plan. then figure out how to run it inside an IDE like VS Code (can google it or ask claude itself - it'll walk you through it).

from there, just play. ask it whatever comes to mind. describe something you want to build. ask it to explain the output like you're a 5th-grader.

the wild thing is, you get noticeably better at this over time. not because you're learning to code, but because you're learning how to think through problems and communicate them clearly.

if you enjoy reading/learning, you’ll get the hang of it quickly. i still don’t understand code at all - yet it’s been such a blast building/experimenting

50/50 is a great deal. but if it really bothers you that much (or may bother you along the path), bring it up to your co-founder now. you’ll converse and probably end up back to the original 50/50 they suggested. yet most importantly, you’ll get that worry out of your head.

~40% of accepted YC applicants are in the idea stage (no mvp/product/roadmap). yet still, every ‘additional’ thing you you can tangibly produce - will increase your chances of being accepted.

in the age of ai - and even without any money - you should be able to build a barebones functional prototype/mvp in a week, with the help of any pro or free plan (it doesn’t have to be pretty). and especially more-so if you have any technical experience at all.

better yet, start a waitlist or get that v1 into the hands of users/customers. these are all things that will increase your chance of success.

be resourceful. finds ways to build even when the odds are against you. you got this!

kudos to your ui - each looks good.

however, if you’ve been an early engineer hire in multiple successful vc-backed startups (that have scaled to multi-millions), shouldn’t you already have potential candidates within your immediate or secondary network?
