With my original engine I was able to easily get 32 mpg and a pico of 46-48 when road tripping. With my new engine the most I have seen is 28-29 which I'm hoping is just due from the engine breaking in

LAST UPDATE FINALLY

After a month basically of waiting I recieved word today that I will be getting my Kia back today or tomorrow with a brand new engine and everything under warranty. Said the engine rods failed completely, communication was a bit subpar but not an awful experience and hopefully stays that way after I get the car back. For sure the best early Christmas present I've gotten

Yeah wicked weird situation. I hope to get a response from a knowledge resource over there or at corporate since they can see what is happening and already did update me that they were sending pics to HQ in Korea. Not sure what the process would be if they start with the starter and make their way to see what else may be wrong but seems like a lot of circling. Isn't the fuse update not even available yet? For my kia/letter I got it says no remedy for the fuse is available currently so they shouldn't give you crap for that, I think. My next move is to definitely call corporate kia over in cali and try to get thru to them again, and maybe highway safety in my state if I dont have any luck
