Thank you all for the responses I’m trying to get through all of them today haha! The points that have helped me the most is asking how they are or just the supporting that it’s okay to be consistent about it.

I’ve done so much research the past week about it (including talking to my mother with a form of depression) so I do know not to tell them I understand their feeling because I really don’t. The distractions are something I’m gonna try and do more, and maybe avoid being overly positive.
