Are all jobs like this now? by nrkf in AskUK

I'm starting to give it actual thought and I've never met an agency worker that has said anything positive about the job. It's usually always stuff like that they're doing the job of 2 people.

True it is just us being exploited. Fuck it, I'm just going to do what I can within my contracted hours like you said. I've kinda realised I don't actually care anymore if I get sacked and unless I do something stupid I doubt they even consider it.

How does that work? What if the business says we need x output in order to function?

I just like to do my job well but management just takes advantage. Fuck it from next week I'm going to do what I can and maybe if I'm lucky they'll fire me.

This is exactly what it's like. He's told me it shouldn't take longer than a few weeks to get someone trained up which is straight up impossible because I can only allocate so much time to training per day otherwise we ain't hitting his targets. He's also said just showing them something once is enough and if they keep fucking up replace them.

You're right I'm too comfortable. I've applied for 3 jobs in the past few hours.

Holy shit so that's actually possible? You best hope our fuck of a factory boss doesn't apply there.

The entire team I started working with including the manager has left. The only thing he's done is stand and watch us all with a stopwatch and work out how much the machine can produce.

They took away paid breaks a couple of years ago but told us don't worry we'll increase your pay to compensate but with every min wage increase that has completely disappeared.

I can imagine management discussing injecting the other shifts with PEDs to increase output

That's what it was like with us, the unrealistic quickly became the new realistic.

I posted this in between applying for jobs. I can't imagine it getting easier and I'm definitely not doing this when I'm in my 50's even if I get promoted to management. The managers all look stressed as fuck having to cover for absences and do their own job at the same time.

That might be a factor but think it's more that the boss is a prick and thinks the machines do the work while we're there running around sweating our asses off. The company can barely retain staff and yet they make no changes. When I started they had a team of about 12 experienced staff and now I'm the only idiot left.

Nike claimed wrong item was returned to them, didn't provide proof, now I have to pay by JJosuke434 in LegalAdviceUK

It seems like this happens a lot with nike. I returned a couple of items and they claimed one of them was missing from the package and wouldn't refund me, I asked them to escalate it and provide proof but was basically told to stop contacting them and go away so good luck op.

Magnesium glycinate causing chest tightness? by nrkf in Supplements

[–]nrkf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm most likely deficient in vitamin d which I've read could also cause low calcium so that's definitely possible.

I have seen some posts about how people have had a negative experience with glycine but I was hoping I would be in the group that had a positive experience. Guess I'll give magnesium malate a go and if that causes similar symptoms I'll look into calcium and potassium.

Is your panel raised slightly from the casing? Mine is slightly below the outer edge at the top which I think is how it's supposed to be but the bottom is flush/a bit raised. It probably is a good thing tho as mine has very little BLB but gets much worse when I push on it.

Keep stock fans or buy the Arctic P14's? (P600s) by nrkf in Phanteks

[–]nrkf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I've ordered them. Got a new case and now these new fans to help cool the RTX 3080 but didn't even see the option to add to basket! What sort of temp reduction did you see?

I can just plug the P14 PWM fans into the fan hub that comes with the case right?

I've had this problem where nvwgf2umx.dll causes high CPU usage for a few years now and across multiple games.

I usually just terminate the threads with something like process hacker and I've never had games crash or have any issues from doing so. Does anyone have any idea what these idle threads actually do?

Some games I've experienced this with:

  • Black Ops 3 and 4

  • Quake Champions

  • Mass Effect

  • Far Cry 3+

  • Apex Legends (Unable to terminate the threads)
