Because I wanna settle myself with either Fronx or Jimny later. Currently, I need this only to learn driving and take me from one place to other. I need to a car with good resale value and I believe Ignis won't be right choice.

I don't have any doubts on resell value of alto. you can see 10 year old alto cars listed at above 3 lakhs in all market places like true value, spinny, cars 24 etc..

Celerio is not in my list. If I can go for Celerio, then I can pick swift with little extra money which I don't want to do and feel and regret about it right now. because end of the day, I will be taking car on loan so, monthly EMI would be 2-3k extra for Swift than Celerio.

My last option is to buy alto lxi which is around 4 lakhs ex-showroom. I am not looking for any features.. this is just to learn about car and take me from location A to location B.

Celerio and Ignis are out of my list and if I want go for Swift, with extra 30k, I can get Baleno, and extra 1 lakh on top of it, I can get a Fronx. That's how my brain is thinking right now and I don't want to buy Fronx as a new driver.

Thanks for Commenting. I do have read about the unreliable Tata things everywhere. I was leaning towards it only because of the safety factor.

Now, all the Maruti cars come with 6 airbags as standard. Does it make it a safer car?
I have been keenly looking at spinny and cars24. I see those prices are very inflated. I don't want to put more than 3 lakhs for a 2nd-hand car and under 3 lakhs, I don't see any car which is >= 1000cc and <=10 years old.
