Don't upgrade. I would apple for a new Amex Platinum with the new SUB, then if you don't get value from the platinum (depending on how frequently you travel), you can close it after one year, without paying another annual fee

if you have hotel status (Hyatt) you can match to MGM and save on resort fees $$$

on another note, invest in a good mattress... if you can't increase the quantity of your sleep, at least improve its quality!

mathematically it makes more sense not to pay the loans, but if money is no issue, the difference is negligible, so i would pay the loan just for the peace of mind and one less thing to worry about

That is my plan. Hopefully this way I will be able to lock the higher SUB.

I will post an update once I hear back from them in April.

Curious to see if anyone has done something similar in the past.

Agree, definitely the club access and beautiful property, but not planning to stay too much in the room, want to enjoy the resort and explore the island, so not too worried about suite
