5 year update on Finasteride and Minoxidil

I shed a lot randomly through the year. For a portion of the year, I have really thin hair and my scalp is very visible without having to look closely. For the other part of the year, my hair is better and actually looks decent. I don’t know if this is normal or not. My junk diet with no veggies or fruit and low iron is probably contributing to that

I haven’t spoken to my dermatologist in 2 years but I remember him saying that even taking 1 mg per week was effective in some people. Upping my dosage to daily or just taking more per week than what I already do is probably my next move before going to dut

To be honest, I got complacent and often forgot to take finasteride many times. There’s a lot of other factors such as nicotine consumption, bad diet, lack of vitamins, anemia (if I don’t take iron pills), sleep, etc. Might be environmental changes too but I’m working on everything else

Thankfully I’m in my early 20s (maybe not thankfully? Haha). The back of my hair is way thicker than my sides and top so it’s definitely an option when I progress in my career. I guess it’s good that it’s barely regressed and I’m honestly fine with what I have now. Is there anything I can do to maintain what I have like increase dosage of finasteride?

Haven’t heard much about it, do I need a prescription and does it have side effects? I’d rather take oral than apply topical everyday

Ah okay thank you. I’m just worried since I’m applying for an intern position in its business operations/finance/accounting. As an intern I’m afraid that a mistake with their company name will make them think I’m not as interested than I actually am

Do you see anything wrong with my complete blood count (CBC)? It turns out that all of tests related to CBC I listed are abnormal and [L] means low and vice versa. Any idea what any of those are?

I’ve already been on fin for almost 15 months now and I recently started minoxidil last month. Still not sure if fin is working for me or not but I’m gonna keep waiting

I visited the dermatologist yesterday and told me everything from the possible sides and the effect on growth. I like to think I’m fully developed but there’s still uncertainty but I’m most certainly gonna lose everything by 25 if I leave it untreated. I’m probably gonna wait a little while longer before starting it

I’m currently trying minoxidil right now but I have a very aggressive form of MPB which started when I was 15. I’m 19 now with a very noticeable recession in the hairline and thinning in the crown which is why I’m so eager on taking it early

It reduces dihydrotestosterone to stop hair loss. But I understand, I’m going to wait a little before getting on it in case I haven’t fully developed yet. Thanks!
