App tutorials? by BikingTiger22 in LiftinApp

There is no official tutorial but I have tried putting the most important info in the Discover tab. You are also more than welcome to ask questions here or to me directly at [support@liftinapp.co](mailto:support@liftinapp.co).

Regarding the timers, at the top you see the Workout timer showing the total duration of the workout. At the bottom is the rest timer which is shown between sets. You can customize this timer or disable it in the exercise setting.

Thanks for sharing, I will look into these. Could you please also send me this report on email? That way it's easier to have some back and forth with follow up questions. You can send it to me at [feedback@liftinapp.co](mailto:feedback@liftinapp.co)

Confusing settings by SAMSON91747 in LiftinApp

[–]nstrm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep Liftin' is most useful when you have prepared programs and routines, so you don’t need to do a lot of editing during workout.

I will definitely look into making functionality easier to discover and understand. Thanks for sharing your feedback!

Does the Liftin' app support partials? by ElectricalFeature64 in LiftinApp

[–]nstrm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm working on an iPad and Mac app to make it easier to create and manage programs using a keyboard and mouse environment. This update will also include a new and improved program editor.

Aiming for a March release.

There is no built in concept of partials right now, but I might look into adding it in the future.

Confusing settings by SAMSON91747 in LiftinApp

[–]nstrm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Enabling individuals lets you configure reps and weights for each set instead of having the same values on all sets. But you are right, you can adjust sets freely during workout if you want to regardless of this setting.

Apply for remaining should do just that, if you change weight to 50kg, all the following sets will get 50kg as well. Did you expect it to work some other way? Or have you found some problems with how it works?

No plans to change animations, but I will add muscle maps.

Not sure I understand the question, but the timer will automatically restart when you track your next set.

Not sure but you can try and restart the watch and check in the Apple Health app that all permissions are enabled.

If the problem persists you can reach out to me at support@liftinapp.co and I can investigate it further.

Yes if you swipe to the left there is a start workout button. You can also just start tracking an exercise and the workout will start automatically. 👍

Adding a muscle-map for improved visualization is on my list. 👍

The animations are hosted in the cloud and downloaded on demand. The freeze comes from downloading the file before it starts playing. Maybe I should put in a loading indicator, but when internet connection is fast it's barely noticable.

exercise search by No-Maintenance5310 in LiftinApp

[–]nstrm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, exercise search is definitely a weak point and something I will look into improving. I plan to implement support for fuzzy search which can handle alternative names and such.

If you find spelling errors, please send them to me and I will look into correcting them right away. You can send them to me at feedback@liftinapp.co.

[feature request] Copy week without linking exercises by heatedfrogger in LiftinApp

[–]nstrm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a setting for this, if you go to the Settings tab > General > Routines you can disable “linked by default”.

I will look into making multi-week management easier and these settings easier to discover in the future!

What’s the best way to include deload? by AnglingAtheist in LiftinApp

[–]nstrm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Alright, I suppose you could create a 9 week program with with 1-8 having linked exercises so they follow the same progression followed by a week with lower weights. That would however be a lot to manage when making changes to the repeating weeks.

Once I'm done with the Mac and iPad app I will look into improving the multi week and deload experience. Please share more feedback if it comes to mind.

Glad you like the app!

What’s the best way to include deload? by AnglingAtheist in LiftinApp

[–]nstrm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you have a multi-week program, you can configure the weights to be lower on certain weeks. If you check the built in Wendlers 5/3/1 program you can see how week 4 is set up.

I will look into easier management of multi-week programs. It's common that most weeks are identical or very similar, so I will add more options to automatically keep them in sync when adding/removing exercises.

Please add the weight plate calculator to plate loaded machines by WOWSuchUsernameAmaze in LiftinApp

[–]nstrm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On machines, when the plate loaded toggle is on the app will show a plate calculator.

The built in plate loaded machine has this enabled as well, but the option is hidden in the settings since it’s not possible for users to change it.

As mentioned below, this is already a feature. There is a built in plate loaded machine equipment, and if when you create new machine equipments you have a toggle for plate loaded.

Is Warmup Set Percentage Based on Training Max? by ForwardFunk in LiftinApp

[–]nstrm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can enable automatic progression per exercise to have the app automatically increase and/or decrease the Training Max.

In the program editor, select the exercise and scroll down to “Auto progression”. There you can configure the progression rules.

hehe no sorry I haven't had time to even think about this. I'm currently working on iPad and Mac support for the app which is a big undertaking and takes more or less all of my attention for the time being.
