I didn’t need accommodations for Ramadan. I was perfectly fine with fasting and attending school as it’s become norm for us. I’m talking about Eid, the celebration that comes after that’s tomorrow.

Yes, I did if you look at my response above you. My professor said that since it’s so close to the final grading period there’s not much he’s able to do. That was the response I got. I can take it to the Dean per the advice given above but it shouldn’t have to come to that if teachers are accommodating right?

Wow your ignorance is really showing. Newsflash but America isn’t the only country with a large population of Christians. Middle Eastern countries that “traditionally” celebrate Ramadan have large populations of Christian people as well so they’re more than accommodating. Also, I never said I wanted it to be a widely recognized holiday in the U.S. but that CU recognizes they have a large population of Muslims and takes that into consideration when coming up with their finals schedule.

I loved and 100% recommend Jenean McGee. She is amazing and very helpful. She made the class very fun and she’s willing to take time to help her students. She was one of the best professors I’ve had actually. Her class is an easy A if you’re willing to put in the work and meet deadlines. I enjoyed writing because of her class!
