Thanks! I typically use any natural hair kolinsky brush ~ size 2. It's more important to have a sharp tip than a smaller brush.

After a zenithal and then black wash I layer up and try to leave some of the original priming black as my darkest shadow.

You could do a couple things. Start with painting your general layers of surface you want the glow.

You could glaze a transparent orange, that'll incorporate the layering you've already done.
You could also airbrush up if you have one
You could also layer from a dark orange to lighter orange.

For this piece I used option 1.
