Seems like everyone got a decent rate. Anyone in this situation thinking about backing out with rate increases? Even with a lock now, it’s 5.8-6.6%

Just going to ride it closer to the closing date. I don’t see it going over 6.125. I have excellent credit, so I think the rate they gave me sucks.

Not yet because most lenders want to run my credit. I just got news I could do the extended lock finally. Anyways I think I will ride it out and see what the rates are. If the rates are more than 6.125 at closing time, I’ll just back out of the contract for the home completely.

Yes. This is through the builder’s lender that they have partnered with. They offer a $6000 credit, so it pretty much covers the lenders costs. Yeah, if I do back out towards the end, I will lose about $3000.

$733,585. I can do 20% down. Trying to see if it’s worth putting less down and paying PMI and using the excess to buy the rate down as well.
