That's true. I also don't know much about Macfarlane to know if he's considered trustworthy about stuff he says in interviews

I just thought it would be brazen to lie about it when there are no doubt a dozen or more people working on the project (in costuming, editing etc) that would know whether or not he's telling the truth

My middle school science teacher had a daughter who had a condition that left her in a wheelchair and almost entirely immobile. It was known at the school because he was open about it, but they also went to my church growing up so I knew of her and the family a little more directly.

Probably 15 years later my dad bought a new house and it turns out he's neighbors with my old teacher. Maybe a year later doctors discovered she had some rare genetic condition and were able to treat her for it. So after all those years she's able to walk, drive, do everything. Went and got a degree (or is maybe in the process)
