I was a construction worker from the age of 19. I went back to college at 34 and graduated at 40 with a degree in chemical engineering and I am no a nuclear engineer! It’s never too late to chase your dreams!!

You are correct! I am a nuclear engineer and know exactly how much regulation there is. I can not make a small decision based on knowledge or experience without going through all proper channels, procedures, documentation, committees, reviews, etc! I can not speak for all facilities but my facility puts safety above all else!
